Charly Hart (charlyhart) | 212 comments Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I got hit hard yesterday with a bunch of work, so I wasn't able to check in. I'll probably just finish my current read in March to get caught up with work stuff. Looking forward to the next month!

message 254: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Happy March! We had a really good February in terms of the challenge. Thank you all! I hope you are all enjoying.

Of all the many books you read in February, do you have any favorites?

Stephanie, we only need one of those two books, who would like to read?"

I can do Davenports for Yellow 1!

The Titans Curse can also count for Blue 0

Also did Midnight at the Bright Ideas bookstore count for the mini?

I have a tie between A Court of Silver Flames and Things We Never Get Over for my favorite for the month. I have Things We Hide from the Light which will be my next read. I'm excited about March's reads! ☘️

message 257: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Thanks Stephanie! Yes, your book counted. I may not have updated our tracking sheet, but it is officially counted.

I loved the Guncle. Funny, and much more depth than they make you realize initially.

Things We Never Got Over just became available at my library! I'm super excited ;)

Alma (almamm) | 173 comments My two favourites were Five feet apart and Indigo ridge.the first one is so moving and just read it when someone really close to me was not feeling well so I’ll always have a link between that book and that loved one.

Alma (almamm) | 173 comments How was Spare Becky. I have it here ready to be read but I am a bit tired of listening to the Royal Family’s mistreatment of Harry and Megan and I’m afraid it’ll be a bit the same story. Would you recommend it?

Catchy title Spare

message 266: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Quick update. We are currently ranked 20. It sounds bad, but we did so good! Those few extra points we didn't get wouldn't have changed anything, it was all the luck of the cards.

The good news - we have a really good hand this month! We still have a lot of Draw 2s, but not as many as a lot of other teams. I expect us to be ranked much higher at the end of March.

Happy reading! That is the most important part.

message 267: by Stephie (new)

Stephie | 377 comments I think my favorite read of February was a toss up between
Barracoon, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, and Dawn

Skye Blue ☆*~゚ლ(´ڡ`ლ)~*☆ (surendraskye) | 251 comments My battery ran out.

I feel like I ran to the bathroom during a commercial and someone turned the channel, and I'm going something important.

Not like it's a book I can just pick up again once I get a little battery life.

But it was such a bad part to leave off on.

He better not be about to cheat. AHHHHH! Does he cheat or not cheat? I know they won't break up, but I'll be so mad if he cheats.

Charly Hart (charlyhart) | 212 comments So I'm planning on reading the 4th book in the Red Queen series and it could work for Blue 4, just not sure if it's blue enough for the cover. The last 3 all worked but let me if it's going to work.

We should probably check just in case. Is it a physical copy? If it looks blue in person, that helps.

I got the audio because I wanted to listen to Prince Harry tell the story and then I listened to it over the course of weeks because I couldn't really get through more than an hour or two at a time. There isn't much new information but I did appreciate his perspective.

I read the book and could not get into it. I finished it but wasn't one of my favorites. I'm tempted to watch it to see if I like it better watching it. I heard the audiobook was really good.

I have the books that I want to read when I sit down to read just can't get into them. What do y'all do to get out of it? I've been trying to just read and just not into it. Hope everyone is having a good start to the week <3

Alma (almamm) | 173 comments I usually do something else. I have a few days of tv watching or knitting if I’m in the mood for it. I find when I am busy in work or worried about something, I can’t read but after a few days, I’m ready again to read something. Also exercise if you like to kill yourself sweating, there’s nothing better

...the first step is overcoming denial and admitting the problem...

at inevitable slumps, which will pass, I like to switch to audio books, maybe a biography --or children's books, new to me or nostalgic types, or cookbooks/decorating/hobby books

message 293: by Stephie (new)

Stephie | 377 comments I mix in things like Manga or Graphic Novels as palette cleansers. Audiobooks also help.

No cheating. Just one character very drunk.

Skye Blue ☆*~゚ლ(´ڡ`ლ)~*☆ (surendraskye) | 251 comments Grrr. I decided to swap blue books....bad choice.

I tried, but I couldn't do it. I had to dnf.
While I like spice in a book, I need to have a ratio of story to spice be at least a smidge higher on the story side.

I like a little porn in my story, not a little story in my porn.

Thanks Carina. How did you like it?

Also, can you let us know what cards it works for, and why? We can easily figure out title and author, but the character, location and the like are more challenging and we need your help.
