Thanks Laura! We can use it for for the reddish-brown. We will see if someone is reading for it now or if we can get another characteristic for the beetle.

Charly Hart (charlyhart) | 212 comments YAY!!! Congrats everyone for another month of completing all the hands. After posting this my book works for

-Peron's tree frog Characteristic (very colorful, don't like to be touched, spots increase with age)-Hades does not like to be touched

I'll go through what I have to see if any of them can be used for next month's color cards.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Tress of the Emerald Sea (The Cosmere) by Brandon Sanderson Green 0, or 6?
The Rules of Magic (Practical Magic, #0.2) by Alice Hoffman Yellow 2, 5, or 7?
Back in a Spell (The Witches of Thistle Grove, #3) by Lana Harper Blue 3?

I'm trying so hard to focus on work and I'll probably finish the book tonight because it is so good and so spicy!! Can't wait for the second one.

These all look great! For yellow, I'd use it for 7 or 5 since those will be the most challenging. Probably 7. For Green, just choose one.

Becky (velvetspade) | 62 comments I'm definitely going to read this one next month. It's clearly red but I'm not sure if it will fit into one of the categories yet. Hoping it does... Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez

I'll look for some yellow and green books tonight :)

I guess yellow 7 and Green 6. Ultimately use them however the board will fix together! I like that they have the flexibility :)

It's definitely a Red 1. If it doesn't fit for the others, we can use it as a WildDraw 4 since we have one already (and we will need books for these).

Laura H | 151 comments Hello 👋 April. I am having lots of fun with this challenge, really reading some different things, 😎

message 421: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Hi all! The points are in, and we are still low on the leader board. The cards just weren't in our favor - we got all of our points! No worries, to me it is always about having fun and trying to finish the hands. Hope you all feel this way too.

How was your March reading? Any favorites?

message 422: by Alma (new)

Alma (almamm) | 173 comments My favourite this month was The one. I really easy read and I always enjoy multiple stories intertwined. I do recommended.

Whoah, that looks pretty interesting. I'm glad for your recommendation, I loke easy and intertwine. Too bad there aren't any copies at my library, I thought yours was at first The One

message 425: by Laura (new)

Laura H | 151 comments HMmm, I really liked about 3/4 of the books I read for March. Especially This Woven Kingdom These Infinite Threads I don't know how I can stand waiting for the third one. Also two celebs I knew nothing about, pretty powerful bios I'm Glad My Mom Died(don't be put off by the title) and The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music plus in reflecting, I read quite a few mysteries, for some reason...looking forward to April,

message 429: by Stephie (new)

Stephie | 377 comments Finished two more books this week. Both of them were tough reads.
Imago (Xenogenesis, #3) by Octavia E. Butler
The Escape Artist The Man Who Broke Out of Auschwitz to Warn the World by Jonathan Freedland

message 430: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Laura, you marked If You Ask Me as read on the sheet, but it isn't marked read in your books. Can you fix?

Thanks!

message 431: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Skye, can you mark Sourwolf Candy as read (or at least add a date)? The others showed up, but not this one

bamaace83 | 257 comments I'm dumping all my books in just a few minutes! We leave for Ireland later today and I'll be back home around April 19th. I'm ready for a good vacation. I'll read while I'm gone if I have time but probably won't get anything updated until I get back because I'm not taking my computer.

message 434: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 257 comments When I get back, I'll see what is left for color cards and knock a few out. :)

message 440: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments A few announcements.:

First, the April Mini has been released! There are almost 100 tasks, so I doubt we will get them all done. We should discuss if we want to focus on part 1 or 2 to try to get some completion points.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Second, an update. We are about 1/3 of the way through the month and 30% of the way done. We still need 12 color cards, many of which are unclaimed. (note: if we wait until after the 15th, one yellow cover can count for the mini too). We also need 2 Wild Draw 4s, and 4 Reverses.

All said, we are in great shape and I hope you are all having fun! I also hope you like our new mini as much as I do.

message 441: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Skye - just a reminder that I need you to set a read date for Sourwolf Candy, please.

The theme is surely interesting. I was surprised how cute our mascot is- looks nothing like the cartoon character. Also looks nothing like the thorny devil. These are some cool animals!

Laura H | 151 comments Deck the Halls by Mary Higgins Clark Can I please get this approved as red 9, Set in New york? tyia

message 447: by Stephie (new)

Stephie | 377 comments I was going to finish two books today but I will hold off until the mini starts.

Back in a Spell (The Witches of Thistle Grove, #3) by Lana Harper This book can count for task 23. Read a book where a character is considered to be attached to someone, or with a clingy character. The main character is witch bound to another person... not on purpose... or witch "married"

The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1) by Terry Pratchett can be used for task 27 because the main character often finds himself having bad luck

message 448: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Laura wrote: "Deck the Halls by Mary Higgins Clark Can I please get this approved as red 9, Set in New york? tyia"

Yes. that works.

message 449: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 610 comments Stephanie, I put you down for those tasks. I also copied the sheet over to our tracking pages so folks can sign up. Remember, starts the 15th.

I think we should focus on task 1 first and if we finish move on. Thoughts?

sorry about that, just saw this. It's fixed.

I know I have a Wild Horses sitting out there.
I had 2 books with the same name.
The first one was good...the second one I'm trudging through, and keep abandoning it for the next in line. I have to finish it this month for another challenge, so I'll get it done.
