Read John Locke's Second treatise on government. I felt that it was an important read, as a great deal of his philosophy was used to argue for our government/rebellion against the British crown. Unfortunately, some of his arguments are still being used as foul excuses for racism, repression, and red lining 200+ years on.

I read Long Range by CJ Box. I enjoy his modern Western mysteries but I've fallen behind on him. This one was reliable CJ Box entertaining with action, murder mystery, and current Western issues.
Box lives in Wyoming and writes about that state. I live in Colorado now and once did live in Wyoming and recognize a lot of what he writes about. He's now 20+ books into the Joe Pickett series and still going strong!
I finished a book club book (Light from Uncommon Stars), a road trip book that was longer than the trip (New York 2140), and an Audiobook SYNC download from last summer (No-No Boy). They were all good, but that's descending order of my enjoyment of them.
