I've loved the Jack Daniels' series pretty much from the first page of the first book. It's funny and creepy and even the 16th book is still so much horrifying fun.
I finished House of Leaves earlier this year and am now onto Frankenstein, because it's been on my shelf for a while and I had a craving for a classic! Not far in yet but I am already in love with the way Shelley writes, it's so effortlessly evocative
City of Dreams
Taking a break from horror with my main read and just started the 2nd in Don Winslow's last trilogy.

I have heard good things about that series.
Just finished the exile. I’m now reading a good girl’s guide to murder.
I'm reading Jesse Petersen's "Club Monstrosity." Great concept-- a support group for real monsters--wrapped into a murder mystery. Club Monstrosity

I have loved Winslow ever since I read the Power of the Dog trilogy.
But I also love Lehane, S.A. Cosby and Andrew Vachss.
I love Lehane too. Just finished the McCoughlin series. It was great.
I will check that out! Have a great weekend.
Taking a break from horror to read some novels by the great African-American writer John A. Williams, including Night Song, !Click Song, and Clifford's Blues. But between them I’ve slipped in the horror-adjacent Lon Chaney Speaks, a fun graphic novel-biography. Horror will return fully with my next-up, Bentley Little’s new one, DMV.

I still need to read The Border, and I haven't read all of Winslow's other books yet (but I'm working on them).
I like Lehane less than Winslow, but I do like his stuff. I haven't read Cosby or Vachss yet but they're both on my list of authors to check out.

Ashton HallIt’s tagged as horror, but so far nothing supernatural or thrilling has happened. It’s (at least so far) a mystery about a skeleton found in an old English manor.

IMHO, it's one of King's best bits of storytelling.
The middle drags a wee bit but it has a really good ending.
i wasn't a fan of nothing but blackened teeth by this same author, but so far i'm really into this one. has more of a dark fairy tale vibe.
I am reading Devil's Creek by Todd Keisling. So far, it is pretty good. It is about the survivors of a religious cult. I got the new Cemetery Dance edition and it has great illustrations. Anyone else reading this one?

I've got it on my Kindle but haven't gotten to it yet. Sounds good and creepy. Hope you like it.

I finished The tommyknockers which didn't convince me too much. And started Annihilation. Also read the first vol of Tokyo ghoul.
The Creation of Marla Adams by Patrick Hanford. It started off pretty interestingly with a murder in a church.

The Bone Tree Not horror but this series is really good, intense and detailed. Not a quick read but worthwhile.
Children of the Night by John Blackburn
And once again a Valancourt Books $2.99 sale rescues me from a reading slump!
I listened to A good marriage and enjoyed it. Pretty quick.
