That's great news!

Papaphilly | 404 comments I try to read a book a week. So I shoot for 50 a year. I am back on track after two year so not making it. The Pandemic took the wind out of me.

Yeah some years are tougher than others, and often if I have a very strong January I burn out fast lol.

I have felt the same way, the past year or two has been hard to complete a reading challenge but this year hasn't been as bad, so far.

Papaphilly | 404 comments I set 50 every year and tend to make it, but not since COVID. I might make it this year. Going to be close.

Dawn Swartz | 4 comments I try to get just a little more than the year before. This year I mostly quit listening to audio books because of a move in office space, so this year I set my goal lower. Last year my goal was 100, which I made it to on New Years Eve. So this year I had set it at 50, hoping for a book a week or so. I have had to up my goal twice. I am now shooting for 80, and am at 77. I may have to up it again.

Phil (Theophilus) (prattleonboyo) Depends on the job situation. If working from home, the goal will
be lower but when forced to commute, i will listen to more audio books bc the traffic forces me to. Id rather listen to a book than the crap on the radio.

Brianna Carlile | 1446 comments I honestly overshot my goal this year, after having baby #2 this past December I’m still trying to find that balance with taking care of the girls and hubby (he works nights so i try to have him a meal cooked everyday), going to the gym, cleaning house. It’s a struggle 😂 but wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ll be having baby #3 in February and will have to relearn a whole new routine lol so my goal next year will be way less this upcoming year

That is a good round low number. I used to do 50 once in awhile but this year I added another 15 to it making it 65 and I more than finished that goal early in the year.

I will probably go back down to 50 next year just to see how it goes. :)

Sounds like a good plan, Dawn. :) Raising the challenge up as you complete it is a good idea. Usually I just leave it as is and don't bother with changing it once it is set. lol

Maybe set your reading goal lower and then if you are able to read a lot then it will look like you "read a lot"! lol :)

Brianna Carlile | 1446 comments @Marie that’s a good idea 😂 I may just set my goal to 10 this upcoming year…I know I plan on taking my nook when I’m in th hospital again lol I actually got a good deal of reading done last time lol

Vavita I always try to keep my goal low so I can spend more time with my family… LOL! I can’t. There are so many great thrillers out there… My hubby and son still love me…

Anne | 623 comments I seem to average 100 a year, sometimes higher or lower depending on how my year goes. I kept it at 100 this year but I’m currently at 7 ahead so it’s definitely been a good year for reading! Though from now to the end of the year tends to be busy so I might drop down closer to my goal in the end.

Tammy I usually make a realistic low goal and add to it should I achieve it early. I can read books under 300 pages or over 900 pages so it is hard to guess.
