Good luck, Jackie.

it seems that The Thursday Murder Club is pretty popular. I may have to check that out.

Good luck and happy reading

Lea (leaspot) | 3646 comments I'm hoping to read Lessons in Chemistry this year. I thought the original Thursday Murder Club was good, but not as great as all the hype, but I did get hooked enough to read the next two, which for me got even better. I have The Measure high on my TBR as well.

Jackie | 1103 comments Lea, I just finished Lessons in Chemistry an hour or so ago. I gave it 4 stars. It was a different kind of story which appealed to me. It is worth the read. The Measure was the most discussed book in my face-to-face book clubs in a long time.

I'm glad I could add to YOUR list!

Jackie | 1103 comments I have been so neglectful in updating this list, so that will be a goal for November.

In the meantime, I just ordered Please Tell Me as my free Amazon First Reads book for November. So I am ready to start reading it today.

Welcome back, Jackie! .. hehehhehehe

I try to pick from the first reads every month; but sometimes they don't post anything worth reading, to me. There is always so much chick-lit and contemporary that I just want to gag. Ugh

I understand totally. This month was difficult to choose because none of them really struck a chord with me. I hope the one I chose will be good.

I haven't checked Nov yet, but I felt the same in Oct. Who selects these books?

message 15: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 1103 comments I'm fairly certain that I will not finish a book this week that will change my favorite book for December. I couldn't even choose between the two I did list for that month. Here's to another great year of reading in 2024!

I think its the "editors" (who are they); and based on downloads from Amazon. Also, whatever new authors they are pushing.

Ioana | 2127 comments I looked through the "stuff your kindle" offers today - nothing! Lots of 1st in the series (romance), lots of YA fantasy...but nothing that I read. Not that I would need more books on my TBR, but still...
