Cheryl (cherylllr) Betsy wrote: "I think your idea about not having yet read Harry Potter or The Lord of the Ring type books fits perfectly into the 'guilty' category.
I'm happy you liked my suggestion, looking forward to what yo..."

I love this, and also the idea about, say, a book about Time Management or exercise. I'll put the romance that I read in another category, I think. ;)

message 61: by Cheryl (last edited Jul 22, 2023 09:46AM) (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) So, I think that all I have left is guilty pleasure, nostalgic memoir, and cookbook. Hmm. I guess I will put the romance in for g.p. Oh, and scanning my next page, I found a picture-book that is perfect for n.m.

message 62: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) Ok, and then I found something that will count just fine as a cookbook. So, I'm done! Woot!

Btw, book banning is a real problem this year. Finding things to read will be easier than ever, unfortunately. But, fortunately, writers and publishers are being more bold, so if you have a good library you'll find a title that interests you.

One of the ones that I read, Gender Queer: A Memoir, was intended for teens (YA) but now many libraries have been forced to put it on the adult shelf. Honestly, I think the library should have two copies, one in each place.
