Just so Erica doesn't wait for me - didn't finish the Lucky Galah before the deadline, but it has really picked up for me so I def will finish!

Yep the challenge is over :( I'll update the scoreboard later today. Thanks to everyone for joining in! I've read some great books and it was great chatting books with new members of the group.

Jennifer | 105 comments Thanks so much for organising this wonderful challenge Erica. So many amazing books in the list I might not otherwise have read!
I'm thinking I will work my way through a few more of them even though the challenge is over!

If you love stats then this comment is for you haha.

The most read book from the Pool was Almond (read by 4 members).

The most read NZ book from the Pool was Loop Tracks (also read by 4 members)

The highest rated book read by members of the Pool was Demon Copperhead (rated 5* by three members)

Collectively we read 47 different books from the Pool (13 of which were NZ books).

There were 25 reads of kiwi books by members of the Pool.

So lots of reading done! Lots of great books discovered! And some more ratings for our kiwi authors and books :)

Thanks again to everyone who joined in. It really is more people = more fun :)

Oh thats good to know, I might have to continue with them :-)

Boadicea (downwoodkt) | 12 comments #2 Book 4 Station Life in New Zealand 3.5* finished 29/3.

Gossipy read, got a little bit boring but picked up by the end. Lady Barker writes a great letter but I found her unabashed cheerfulness somewhat wearing after a while. Great that I’ve read it-thanks Carol for adding it to the Book Pool.

Sorry for the delay in posting, had a family wedding!

message 260: by Bronwyn (new)

Bronwyn (bronwynelsmore) | 112 comments Thanks, Erica, for organising this, and all who nominated books. You pushed/inspired me to read books I would not have picked up otherwise. Best wishes to all.

message 261: by Kerry (new)

Kerry | 156 comments Thanks to Erica for setting up the challenge. I always enjoy seeing the pool of books we select. Have added several to my library requests.

message 262: by Megan (new)

Megan | 139 comments Been a while for me, but this challenge looks like just the thing!
Books I was going to nominate have already been nominated - a good sign - so after a think, and going through the pile on my bedside table, I would like to add these three titles:

Fingersmith - Sarah Waters Fingersmith
The Road Between Us - Nigel Farndale The Road Between Us
Treacle Walker - Alan Garner Treacle Walker

Looking forward to this challenge!

Please add them here;
