Nomeie aqui um livro para ser lido no primeiro trimestre de 2023. Qualquer livro de autor africano, que tenha sido publicado em português, mesmo que o original seja em outra língua. Nomeações até 15 de janeiro.
Accepting nominations for a book to be read in Portuguese in the first trimester of 2023. It can be any book by an African author that has been published in Portuguese, even if the original is in another language.
I will close nominations on Jan. 15th. I know this eats up two weeks of reading time, but... I am a person who lives in the present and did not get to do this earlier. Sorry.
I want to give more people time to see this post and maybe join.

Orgeluse | 481 comments Hi! Just to let you know:
I have just discovered that Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida's novella A Visão das Plantas was translated into German, so it is on my TBR and I would join a discussion maybe later this year?

Her Maremoto will also be translated and published later this year.

Hi Ana Lúcia,
for the next two months I have other books to read so I would not want to nominate the titles for the first round (Jan-Mar). I just mentioned them in this thread as I did not know where to mention them instead ;-))

Orgeluse | 481 comments I see now that I should have put my comment in the other thread🙈, I just transfered it there, sorry!

This has finally arrived in our library system. I'll be happy to join reading in English after I finish The Blind Kingdom with the French read. Let me know if you want to go ahead with it.

Ok, so since we have only one nomination for now, and nominations were closed yesterday, we don't need to vote. We will be reading Sobrevidas until March.
Good reading to whoever may join us!
