Jules (randomisedhabit) | 3 comments I didn't manage my goal of 30 books (averaging 300 pages per book) last year, but hopefully this year I'll manage a proper return to that and more!

I want to continue reading more women writers and min. 5 books to progress my Around the World Challenge (list at the bottom). I also want to read more books than me (and my SO) pick up.

Links will be inserted into this post and the list will be updated as I start/complete books - books without links remain ideas and aren't fixed.

Carolien (carolien_s) | 505 comments I like your list! I enjoyed The Translator, but I think Lyrics Alley is the best I've read so far by Leila Aboulela. I picked up Minaret yesterday in a second-hand bookshop.

Oh that's good to know, thank you for the recommendation! I really enjoyed the writing, it flowed beautifully, so would definitely be keen to explore more. Lyrics Alley shall be added to my wanted list :)

Jules (randomisedhabit) | 3 comments Thanks everyone! Variety in my reading tends to be quite important, otherwise I'd just be reading historical fiction all day long :D
