Book Club discussion

I mentally started checking out of this book right before the last part where it starts to get good. The ending of the book is super satisying and well worth it.

I also remember there being a bunch of detours along the way from the plot where the book zooms in in great details on things like the relationship between the two police with no real apparent bearing on where the story is going. It's a slog, it can be a little maddening, but it's fine, trust it, the ending it's worth it.
