Diversify Your Reading Partner Challenge 2023
February: Romance



According to the Romance Writers of America, "Two basic elements comprise every romance novel: a central love story and an emotionally-satisfying and optimistic ending." Both the conflict and the climax of the novel should be directly related to that core theme of developing a romantic relationship, although the novel can also contain subplots that do not specifically relate to the main characters' romantic love. Other definitions of a romance novel may be broader, including other plots and endings or more than two people, or narrower, restricting the types of romances or conflicts.

Challenge Rules:

💕Rereads DO NOT count for this challenge! Remember, we're trying new things!
💕Follow your own time zone. If you finish the book between the challenge dates in your time zone, it counts!
💕Books that match the month's genre are selected by your partner. You may either have them choose from a list of books you create, or give them free rein! Your choice!

Levels:
💕Dabbling: 1-2 books per month
💕Diversifying: 3-4 books per month
💕Divergent: 5-6 books per month

📌Make sure that you have notifications turned on, so that you don't miss updates, bonus task notices, etc.

Sign Ups:
🔸Sign Ups begin on the 15th of each month and close on the 29th.
🔸LATE Sign-Ups (after the 29th) will be on standby. Standby members will either replace missing partners or if enough standbys are available, can be made into additional sets!
🔸No new partner sets will be made after the 5th of the month.
🔸Lists are due by the 1st of the month, when possible!

Hey everyone! I'm making a last minute change to the Partners, due to some lost members! Stand by!

Ok, changes made. I would suggest sending your partner a friend request and message! If you haven't heard from your partner by tomorrow, let me know and I will see what we can do to re-partner!

My partner hasn't checked in and they aren't accepting messages.

My partner showed up, but never chose books for me, nor has she been back to check in again, I tried to message her, but she is not accepting any messages. Any chance you can give her a nudge?

I've messaged, if you don't here from her in a day or two more, let me know. Since she has made contact, I'll give her a bit longer. Sometimes weekends are had on Goodreads check-ins, I know I struggle to update then.
