In a world where humans and vampires coexist, Malkiel lives most of his life walking amongst humanity in the sun, hiding away from his darker self. He poses as a human working as a firefighter doing what he can to rescue people. Until one night, him and his station gets called on an emergency. A roaring fire breaks out seeming almost demonic in nature, so big that it almost consumes the entire block. Malkiel has fought many fires in his career and knew upon arrival, this wasn’t just any ordinary fire. The flames seems to stretch out like blazing tentacles, trying to swallow everything and everyone. Hundreds of people crowds the street in a frozen-like hypnotic state, their eyes milky white and glazed over. With the fire quickly putting his team in a trance, Malkiel leaps into action ready to discover the cause behind all of this madness. The answer he finds pulls him into a darker world, one he is unfamiliar with. One that threatens the already fickle relationship between humans and vampires. Getting help from the beautiful daughter of the Don of the Drăculești family, Zaleska. They find themselves being the only thing standing between the collapse of reality, and the opening of the gates of hell.
