Monthly Challenge: February 2023

Welcome to our first monthly Listopia Madness challenge. It is a relatively simple challenge. Every month you will get 3 listopia lists from me and 3 from the winners of the previous month. *Please note that if you do not respond in a reasonable amount of time that the 4th place person (and so on) will replace you until we get 3 lists.

How it works
📘You will read as many books as you want from as many of the lists provided as you want.
📘You will score each book using the point system provided below
📘You will keep a running tally of your total in your post (try to keep your books in one comment, if possible for easy tracking)
📘I will contact the 3 highest-scoring readers at the end of the month and they will each choose one listopia list to be included in the next month's challenge.

Challenge rules:

There's one so far I might squeeze in after I finish my UNO books. that second list has soooooooo many series I'm in the middle of, but it's only listing the first in series for most of them. grrrr, lol.

Well, the top 3 winners from January each pick a list for February so maybe there will be something from those lists. It's looking like you might be one of those 3 so you might think of a list that you want to read from.

I already know exactly which one ;)

Ahhhhh the 1001 List! How exciting!

Yeah, I've been making my way through it for a couple of years now. Still have almost 1000 to go! :D (the combined list of all the editions has over 1300 books. I have actually read some, lol!)

Any news on the last list?

Nope, I have given her more than enough time. I am giving the next person a chance to choose.

Sounds to me like someone is playing UNO, lol.

Unfortunately, my team has no yellow cards this month, and I'm not wasting the ones I have in case I need them next month :D :D :D

I didn't sign up for UNO. I tried to control myself and barely sign up for anything. I have surgery in a couple of days. I have no idea how I am going to feel afterward and I know it is a couple of weeks of recovery time. I don't want to let a bunch of teams down so I am behaving myself. I limited myself to the Super Series team challenge only. 1 book a week should be doable.

Hope your surgery goes well, and the recovery is swift! :)

Gah these are difficult lists... I've only managed 3 books so far. I suppose it doesn't help that I haven't really been diligent in looking for books, but still!!!

LOL, but you are doing so well!

I find the biggest problem is fitting them around team challenge reads, lol.

the yellow list was not much use for my UNO team this month, as we didn't have any yellow cards and I don't like 'wasting' those :D But there were a couple on the list I have with a different colour cover, so at least they worked.

I'm grumbling a little about the fact that the insect/grub list doesn't have my current read on it . Nor does it have the rest of the series. And all they talk about in the books are insects, lol!

I think there will be one more from me for this month and then I can't believe we'll be in March already!
