Team Sarah - Chat

Alright, this was the spreadsheet from last time so here it is! Let's only put down the book etc when we've actually read it/claimed it as to avoid confusion :) The colors represent the different blocks and hopefully the rest speaks for itself! Let me know if you guys have questions :)

To clarify: what's the purpose of the Started/Completed columns? Are we able to plan ahead and claim points for books we're planning to read (which was the impression I got from your post)? Or only if the book is completed + the review has been posted?

That way the spreadsheet doesn’t get cluttered with books that people are planning on reading rather than ones that are already completed!

That was my interpretation as well! I just wasn't sure if I was misunderstanding the "Started" and "completed" tabs on the spreadsheet, since presumably all books would've been completed by the time we posted to the sheet?

You are more than welcome to make a copy and use the copy to plan books if you like!
And you are not required to use the spreadsheet either!
Me or Danique can probably keep track of reviews and put the books into the spreadsheet if anyone doesn’t want to!😁

thanks so much!

What Wolf said!! I can remove the ‘started’ column because it isn’t really useful now?

Sure! Just claim it when you’ve finished :)

Ok

And if the book is on the spreadsheet then you will put yes for the started and complete

Ok, thanks!!
Already doing well guys haha!
In terms of 'strategy', should we just try to claim a board/part? I know that it's kind of difficult to claim 120 descriptions, so we should probably focus on trying to claim 10 in a board if you get what I mean?

yes I agree, I was thinking of trying to fill up the categories one part at a time, so try and do the first 10 then the next 10 etc aslong as the book fits if it doesnt move to the next part so we can try get as many bonus points as we can?

Yess that's perfect!

That's sound good!!

OK, got it!

some I can think of if anyone is planning on reading something that fits, since we might want to prioritize these over other easier ones like the letter-based challenges:
- read a book with an edition published in 1995 (I feel like this is the most specific one!)
- read a book with an edition published before 1995
- read a book published before you were born
- read an anthology of at least 3 short stories
- read a book from a series of at least 8 books
- read a book with an avg rating of 3.0 or less
- read a book with less than 100 pages
etc.

Yes that’s definitely smart! There are some difficult ones in there haha

I’ve finished a few books but haven’t had time to write any reviews, I’ll hopefully write a few today🥴

18. Read a book with the letter P in the title/series name/author name.
20. Read a book with food on the cover, or with the letter F anywhere in the title/series name/author name.

I've read a book Expert. It will fit the P task, right?! I'll post my review.

(this section has the extremely specific "read a book with an edition published in 1995")
