Marybeth (narutofan14) I just got through the first part of the book. The 5th wave seems interesting and there is certainly a lot to process the first few chapters but now i have to slow down and get to hw instead.

Tea | 51 comments I'm reading this book really slowly, because I'm having my finals these days, and I have to study a lot. But I read first 15-ish chapters and I like it. The plot is new and fresh, unlike a lot of popular (YA) books.

Marybeth (narutofan14) it is definitely something different. I actually just finished it and loved it. I just got a cold so I am reading a lot more now that I have that and my spring break is this week. My grandfather is now reading and I think he likes it. I had to slow down in some parts and actually think about what I had just read since there were a lot of things going on. I am glad I got to read it though. I was surprised by how fast it took me to read the book.

Tea | 51 comments Not yet done, but I'll try to finish it today.. yay.. I like it, but I'm not sure about the multi-main-characters. And I do not like Walker, he appears nice, but I just can't like him (or the romance in this book)
....
Will post again once I finish (and I really hope it will be soon, I need to read other books xD)

Marybeth (narutofan14) i got a little confused when they switched characters but i thought it was really good. It definitely had a TON of action with a little bit of romance. There were some parts though where i had to sit and sometimes reread a sentence to make sure that i didn't miss anything. I haven't quite figured out if i like Walker or not. i think i will find out more though when i read the second one. :)

Tea | 51 comments Finished.
Finaly.
I don't know what to think.
Actualy I didn't like the ending, but I've decided to still give it 5 stars, though not yet sure.

Still thinking about how I feel about this book. A lot of mixed feelings.

note#1 - I liked Zombie's chapters a lot more then those from other characters POV.

note#2 - I like it how later on the story picks up on it's tempo, especialy last 3 ''books''. the beginning was quite slow.

Marybeth (narutofan14) Yeah it took me a while to get into it but when it picked up it didn't take me long to finish it. I had my granddad read it and he read it in like two days. I gave it five stars but I don't know if I will enjoy the second book or not. I just started it and already have very mixed feeling about it. Of course now I won't be we to read it until the weekend because school is absolutely crazy but I hope to finish it this month. I had a hard time getting into other books afterbi read this one. I can't wait to see how the whole series ends though. It should be interesting.

Tea | 51 comments Yeah.. I'm not sure if I'll read the sequel in the near future. The last book is coming out in September, right? I think I'll maybe catch up with the series once they're completed.
I didn't like the ending and it's stoping me whenever I think that I should read it. I don't know, I liked the plot of this book, I feel like the second one will ruin the first one for me.
(view spoiler)

Though, I'll read a review or two (and try not to spoiler myself) just to see if it's worth reading.

Oh Rick please don't ruin this series!!

Marybeth (narutofan14) I had a hard time with the ending too. It just seemed a bit rushed and i didnt really have much time to process the end and i still have unanswered questions. I am still trying to read the second book but with school i havent gotten very far in reading.
