1. You can comment on other users' reviews of specific books you're interested in! Below the reviews, there should be a comments section where you can read previous replies and add your thoughts.
2. If you've added friends on Goodreads, you can comment on any status updates they've made (when they add a book to their to-be-read shelf or update their progress on a book, etc).
3. If you would like to have a personal conversation with someone specific, you can go to their Goodreads profile, and next to the add friend/Friends button, there should be a 'More' toggle that will open a pop-up with 'Message' on the top of the list.
4. Join groups like these and interact! I'm not super knowledgeable regarding all the activities this group does specifically. Still, I know there are buddy reads and discussions they do on specific books they decide on, which could be a fun way to interact with one another! Head to the group home (which should be located at the upper right of this page) and look around!
From my experience, though, I recommend you use the Goodreads website on your computer/laptop instead of the app on mobile. The mobile app is glitchy and lacks many features available on the web version and is mostly just serviceable to read through reviews and add books to your shelves/track your progress.
Best of luck with your 25-book challenge this year, Dave! You are off to a great start already :) I've seen All the Light We Cannot See in lots of bookstores, and I am looking forward to hearing what you think about that one!

I use the app solely to update my reading progress or check on notifications, when I'm out and about.
Like Nikki writes though, there are plenty of options to be socially active in this group.
Here's an introductory post you can check out :)
And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Best of luck with your goals in 2023 :)

Both "The White Tiger" and "Seven Moons of Mail Almeida" are high on my TBR radar. I just don't know when I'll get to them :D That being said, I just watched the trailer for "The White Tiger" nd it might've just gotten bumped up the list.

I enjoyed the White Tiger film, I’ve slowed down with reading recently but I have been gradually reading The Boys from Biloxi which I’m liking aswell.

I've read a few of Grisham's books but not "The Boys from Biloxi" -I'll have to add it to my TBR :)
I hope you've managed to get back into the groove of reading and are having a fantastic year!

I’ve fallen behind with my reading this year but I have just read ‘The Last Devil to Die’ which has eased me back into the habit as it’s such an easy read! Hope everyone’s reading is going well
I’m new here and I’ve enjoyed reading through people’s various book goals. I’m aiming for 25 books in 2023, I’ve read ‘To Rise again at a Decent Hour’ and “The Sense of an Ending’ so far this year. I liked both but I found ‘To Rise again…’ a bit hard going at times. I’ve got a few books lined up including ‘The White Tiger’ ‘Seven Moons of Mail Almeida’ and ‘All the Light We Cannot See.’ I’m looking forward to using Good Reads and I wondered if anyone has any advice on how to get involved in the interactive forum side of the app ?
Thanks,
Dave
