GOOD REVIEWS discussion

Good morning! Very excited to share this with you. I'm not very good at asking for stuff, so here it goes.

My newest novel, "33 Degrees" is up on the Amazon Kindle Scout Program (link supplied below). I need votes to draw attention to my book. If the Senior editors see that my book is trending, then several things happen.

1) Amazon Senior Editors read it
2) If the Senior Editors like it, "33 Degrees" will receive a 5 year contract
3) Amazon writes a check. This would be my first from a publishing firm. It's small, but would help recoup for editing costs
4) Amazon markets the book (This is the big one!)
5) If I get a contract everyone who nominates me gets a free digital download of the book. :)

For an independent like myself this is big. We don't have the marketing power like the brick and mortar publishing companies do. None of this means large or extreme success, but it does make one credible and opens future doors.

All you have to do is follow the link below and nominate "33 Degrees." There's an excerpt to read and author information provided too. If you have any feedback, please contact me.

I would love it if you would be a part of this journey with me. The competition on these types of events can be very stiff. The independents on here are experienced, so I will be competing with top talent.

Good luck, Vincent. I believe the voting is for US citizens only. Kindle Scout sounds like a very exciting platform though.

Hi Marie - TY for your vote. I have done some reading on this topic prior to taking a stab. There are some pluses and minuses. For me it is all a plus. I think a well established independent may scoff at the reduction in commission, but for me just the chance to get the marketing arm behind me is enough impetus.

Don't be every start gets you closer to your goal no matter the turn out as long as you keep promoting yourself. I promote other indie authors as well as myself. I will be promoting you as well. I have recommended your book to my Goodreads friends and will be reading and reviewing your book. But, it may take a while since I am reading and reviewing other books as well as working on my second book, a novel to be released this Spring. I will be adding your book to my to read list and to my currently reading list so it will be next on my list of currently reading books. That should help you get on the right track with reviews. Good luck! We indie authors should always support each other.
