Addicted to YA discussion

Hey friends! I would really really love to hear any recommendations about any YA fiction featuring a plus size protagonist, regardless of gender. While I love books about body image (finding confidence after issues) I would absolutely adore to find a book or series that doesn’t center around body image issues (think a fantasy where the protagonist just happens to be plus size.) thanks so much!!

PLEASSSSSE read ‘one to watch’ by kate stayman-london. that book is beautifully written and made my heart soar.

it may not be 100% what you’re looking for but it’s still such a good read.

the best romance i've read is blindsided by Amy daws. it's so so good.

and not to be negative, but i read 'One to watch' and i thought it was so so bad. i hated it

I’m another person who loved One to Watch but it’s not ya.
I would recommend Starfish which is a middle grade/ya in verse story about a girl struggling to accept herself.

Holden up to the universe by Jennifer Niven is a good one

i haven’t read it but dumplin is supposed to be really good

Dumplin was okay. Not my fav, but some of it was really good! And Starfish was also good. I’ll definitely check these all out, thank you so much everybody!!
