– Books must be published by the first, be available internationally, and available in print form.
– After 24-48 hours, 8 books from each genre will be chosen at random from the selection, using a random generator online.
– Only ONE nomination per person (EITHER sci-fi OR fantasy).
– If books are part of a series, they must be the first, unless the group has already read the previous book(s). (you can see our previous group reads here)
– No authors nominating their own works.
– No self-published or ebook-only books — we want our BotM to be accessible to as many members as possible!
– Moderators may use their discretion when accepting nominations. Keep the thread focused. Discussion about changes in rules can go to General Chat.

Again, sorry this is so late, all. Wholly my fault, I got very, very busy this month.

I did just (moments ago as I write this) get a contract for some books, which is part of what's eating up my time, but still, my apologies to all.

Your turn is next month, Wayland, so it's not your fault at all.

Is it? Oh. Ok. That's better then. Guess I can't read the schedule. *makes a note to look into remedial reading comprehension classes*

I think that's the right category Lel. Surprised the group hasn't read it before!

Thank you, I'm not really a Gaiman fan so kind of guessed by the synopsis.

Can one of the other mods weigh in on this one, Had a look on Amazon.co.uk and .com and abe books and seems to only be available hard back in the USA. So I feel is not eligible

Bee, if this one isnt eligible do you want me to add your other pick instead? (The Women Could Fly )?

In the US it's available on kindle and in hardcover. If it's not available in the UK, I'd say we should go with the other pick.

message 29: by Bee (new)

Bee (be_aesthete) | 7 comments Ok! How do I tell if its available in the UK? I cant seem to access the UK Amazon. It keeps booting me to the US site. If its not easily available the other pick also works! Sorry to have picked an obsucre read. I didnt realize it wasnt widely available!

message 30: by Bee (new)

Bee (be_aesthete) | 7 comments Also wanted to weigh in and say that The Graveyard Book is definitely fantasy. Its one of my favorite books! Such a good pick!

I think it works there. It's very different sometimes for books because someone one has elements of both.

Eric | 128 comments Sarah wrote: "The Graveyard Book"

As I already nominated that book earlier, you can go and nominate another book if you wish.

You are fine, don’t worry. I just went on to both amazons and Abe books websites to see about availability and on the uk sites they said shipping from the US. I’ll put the other book in. X
