Below is the randomizing wheel for Greek Monsters. To start, spin 5 times to get your first 5 monsters. If you get a repeated monster remember you can respin for a replacement.

Master List of Tasks

RULES

1.) Each monster has a set of required tasks that must be completed in order to vanquish the monster.

2.) Books can be used to complete more than one task, but only for the same monster. If you can find a single book that meets all five tasks, congratulations, you defeated the monster with just one book! Expect other teams to notice this and copy your choice ;)

3.) Teams/individuals can have up to 5 monsters to vanquish at any time.

4.) Monsters are assigned at random and may be repeated by the same team/individual.

5.) We like players to be creative, that's what makes this fun. However, please do not hurt yourself over thinking the tasks. If there still is some indecision, post in the Q&A thread or just find a different book.

6.) Once you vanquish a monster and get a replacement it should be considered locked and you cannot swap out books.

Tasks:

Griffin: 300 to 349 pages (at least one book)
Tasks: set in United States, red cover, "brave" or "courageous" in text, cross on cover

Python: 100 to 175 pages (at least one book)
Tasks: features twins, Author name (first or last) starts with a letter in SWORD, character is pregnant, mentions some type of championship games (World Cup, Olympics, World Series, etc)

Sphinx: 200 to 299 pages (at least one book)
Tasks: characters go on a journey, MC must solve a riddle, Mountain on cover, brown cover

Lernaean Hydra: 800+ (at least one book)
Tasks: MPG Adventure, gold text on cover, MC has a sister, #9 or higher in series

Cretan Bull: 350 to 450 pages (at least one book)
Tasks: white cover, where something physical is destroyed (e.g., building burning down and not a relationship being ruined), MC ignores important advice, 7 in the page count

I fixed the book that was for too many monsters, so it's good to go. Sorry for taking up so much time!

Would this work for cross on the cover?

I think so - it's definitely meant to be the sign of the cross.

I finished my book a long time ago but being sick forgot to post it. I just posted it so that completed GRIFFIN for us. I also finished another book that I posted but Jenny, you're still working on your 900+ page book for that monster.

I just finished the last book we needed for the Lernaean Hydra, and spun a new Asian monster - Ropen.

I finished El Duende monster.

Hey, Jenny and Trisha, I had a book that I could post but thought I had already used it. So I was uncovering the lines that were covered but now I don't know how to cover them back up. But I was able to add a book for unfinished series and a couple others, so that's good! :)

We finished another monster (Asian this time) so I spun for a new Asian monster. We got an "easy" one this time:

Author initials in WHALE
Birds or fish on cover
ghost important to plot
Setting is costal or on the ocean

We just need the ghost one to finish that monster. I'm reading 2 books for the newest Echnida monster. I'll have to read the 500+ pages book first and the other one second because my E book will be due for Coast Busters tomorrow.

Nice! Updating SS now so we have five monsters at a time :)

ETA: We vanquished La Larona only to be faced now by Sasquatch, Level - How Are You Alive? Here are the tasks:
