message 666: by Patrick (new)

Patrick Oster | 7 comments My book club has been reading "Christine Falls," the murder mystery by Irish writer John Banville writing as Benjamin Black. Dr. Quirke, a pathologist, is the main character. He has many flaws as he tries to solve a murder that takes us deep into Irish culture of the 1950s. Great book. I see one of the other participants noted she has a Goodreads giveaway going on for a just-finished novel, so I'll mention that so do I for another book I just read, so to speak. I'm offering 20 free ebook copies of my romantic spy thriller "The Man Who Fell in Love With His Wife." Ends Sept. 15. It's about a man who discovers a bunch of spy paraphernalia after his wife dies and wonders -- and investigates -- if she'd had some kind of clandestine life.
