message 742: by James (new)

James Best (jamesbest) | 121 comments Now starting ALL THE SINNERS BLEED by S.A. Cosby, his latest stand alone mystery/thriller novel published in 2023.

The book won the Anthony, Macavity, and ITW Awards as the Best Mystery Novel of the Year and is a finalist for the Edgar, Steel Dagger, and Barry Awards in the same category with the winners still to be announced.

I read Cosby's two earlier novels last year and really liked them, although readers should know upfront that the subject matter is not for the squeamish.

message 743: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 1613 comments Still working my way through J.D. Robb's In Death series featuring Detective Eve Dallas one book at a time. I may catch up one day in the distant future!

Celebrity in Death (In Death, #34) by J.D. Robb Celebrity in Death #34 (of 60 books) is a good one with the death of a cast member in the movie production of one of Eve's famous cases. Less dramatic than some but with an engrossing mystery and plenty of interaction between the main characters.
