Terry and I will be starting the 14th book in the Charlie Parker series around this time, March 15th.

Awesome Latasha!! And if you get it before the 15th and want to start earlier, that's fine too. We're really flexible on the start date.

We just wanted to get back to the series again since it was December when we read the last CP book.

Ok.

I think I'll get started on this tonight and excited about getting back to this series.

I likely won't be reading it fast since I'm reading multiple books as once.

That's the truth. I'll tell myself that I'm reading other books but I'll likely be unable to put the book down...too. hahaha

I got the audio book this morning and have listened to about a hour & half of it. I thought the lawyer guy, the collector’s dad died? I’m having a brain fart & can’t remember his name.
Just met Corey, and TP. I tell my cat, Circe, that’s she’s the tp all the time- the total package. She’s funny, beautiful and smart.
I thought it was hilarious at the beginning that guy thought he was safer cause Louis & Angel wasn’t the cops.

But I’m stopping for now so I don’t get too far ahead.

Isn't it crazy how far you'll get into these books?! I was planning on reading 5-10 pages last night but I couldn't stop and ended up almost up to 40 pages. WTF 😂

This one has already started with a bang! I loved that part as well in where Ormsby thought that Louis and Angel were the cops. hahaha

I have a crazy thought about Charlie now. (view spoiler)[Do you think that when he died, was brought back to life and it took three times that a fallen angel has been inserted into his soul? He seems a lot more ruthless now since he was almost killed.

I thought about this because of how Ormsby was the Gray Man along with how the Collector became that character when he was born dead and then brought back to life as Kushiel. (hide spoiler)]

There is some wild sh!t in this series and I love it. It really opens up the whole idea of why a person is so evil when they had a normal childhood or parents.

I’m at the same point Ginger. And wow it is off to a bang of a start! I’m not sure (view spoiler)[ if your guess about something getting into Charlie when he died, but something sure changed for him. No holding back now. My guess is that it is what has happened with Sam that has pushed him rather than something new getting into him. I think he is something separate from these angels, but I guess we’ll see moving forward. (hide spoiler)]

Glad you got yours too Latasha. I certainly understand reading ahead in these books. They’re so hard to put down once it gets going.

I definitely don't think he's evil but wondering about this "hunter" they keep talking about that's going after evil fallen angels.

I’m so looking forward to finding out. I just bit the bullet and went ahead and bought all the rest of the books out now so I’ll be ready!

This plot is grim at times. I’m loving it so far and got a fair amount of reading in today. I’m up to the beginning of Chapter 43.
I was hard to put down today!

You can read this if you’re past Chapter 26. I feel (view spoiler)[so bad for Jerome Burnel. He was just a normal guy who got caught up in being in the wrong place even though you know he saved all those people at that gas station. They would have been killed if it wasn’t for him.
And then for his life to be destroyed like that?! Framed, tortured, raped, abused, etc.
You guys, Charlie and gang really needs to destroy the Cut just for Burnel alone much less all the other victims they have tortured and murdered. (hide spoiler)]

I’m sure there is places like the Cut. Burnel just disappeared. That’s where I’m at right now. Hope to listen a little more but my ear buds (a back up pair) is already screaming low battery so we’ll see.

And they died. I’m already struggling today and their absence just makes it worse.

Oh, I know!! I'm trying not to read too fast but I got to Chapter 54 (LIV) last night and it looks like I'm failing too on waiting on everyone. LOL

It's really hard not to pick this up all of the time. I'm loving the folklore too!!

Just when I think that the next book can't be as good as the last one we read, I'm wrong once again. :D LMAO

Isn't that part awesome with what you said in the spoiler and then in Chapter 53 (LIII), (view spoiler)[she goes to talk to Sam because she's worried about their Dad and the Dead King. I want to know so bad with what's up with Sam. She obviously can see ghosts but talk to them too!! And in the last book, she has the ability to affect the environment when she killed that dude in the sand dune when he was about to kill her Dad.

And all of this folklore about the Dead King is crazy. I felt so bad for Burnel and what they've done to him. What terrible pain and torture this man has gone through and I'm glad he's finally at peace. Charlie needs to rectify things for sure in this one! (hide spoiler)]

Ahh, you guys are the best! I love reading these with you both. It's the highlight of my reading. And we certainly have been lucky with how good these books have been.

I'm struggling with my schedule right now and not getting enough reading time. Feel free to read ahead as much as you like, and I'll try to catch up later. I agreed to be a beta reader for an author friend of mine and have just a couple of week window to get that book read also, so I'm going to be swamped for a while.

I’m stopping at chapter 60 today. (view spoiler)[ I so hate what they did to Perry. These guys in The Cut aren’t too smart. More bodies = more attention. I so hate what has happened to Paige and Corey. That is one of my big fears. Irrational I know but it is. (hide spoiler)]

I love them as characters. They are so interesting, a bit funny and you have no idea what you’re going to get with the brothers. 😂🤣

They’re crazy, but sure do love Charlie. It’s funny but there are two characters in another book I’m reading right now that could almost be them too. 😂
