I admit, its been a few days since I have finished this. If you don't review something right away, it gets to feeling like a lifetime ago.
This read has been on my TBR for a long while, but a roll of the dice and a gave move from a friend, finally landed me on this spot. And during a month when I had already hit my limit with violence and oppression. But - this one was a little different because it was 15th century Inquisition, an era I know quite little about. I often feel that books are important when they speak about times and places in history we would prefer to not acknowledge, whitewash, or erase.
I liked the characters, I got into it, even if I had been feeling a little "overloaded." I was glad that I had read it. Maybe a 3.5?
