Rachel N. | 2242 comments 12 short stories all featuring Miss Marple and written by female authors. I think the authors did a good job recreating Miss Marple. Ruth Ware's story was the closest to an actual story that would have been written by Christie. It was fun seeing Miss Marple travel around to the U.S., Hong Kong and Italy along with stories set in England. Some of the more modern stories, especially the one set at Oxford during the 70's, didn't work as well but overall this was a fun read.

Jgrace | 3944 comments I make a point of reading books and short stories with recreations of Sherlock Holmes, but I don't think I've ever read anyone who uses one of Christie's characters. (I'd guess that copyright issues prevented too much until recently) This sounds like it might be fun.
Thanks!
