Alice | 3840 comments I finished The Wharton Plot The Wharton Plot by Mariah Fredericks by Mariah Fredericks. Set in 1911 New York City. The author Edith Wharton is our main character. It was just okay. Lots of New York rich name dropping. The plot did not pull me into the story.

Tiziana | 202 comments I read An Honourable Thief An Honourable Thief (Company of Rogues #1) by Douglas Skelton by Douglas Skelton

This is an adventure-mystery with a lot of action, set in 1715 England and Scotland. We find a humorous part, but also a dramatic part that evolves between Jacobite revolts, espionage, arrogant aristocrats, "femme fatale", thieves, whores and deep feelings linked to family and true friends

In this book, Jack is trying to keep 3 CPAs safe in the wilderness of Yosemite from the assassins trying to kill them before they can testify at a trial. A slow burn thriller that is hard to put down.

Finished The Lighthouse Cafe by Bebe Reed today. Pretty good story, though the editing could have been a smidge better. Would definitely consider reading other books in the series.
