ash | 5 comments okay i wanna read like less booktok y/a books but i struggle to find ones that seem genuinley good? when i do they are usually average 3 stars or less. any recs?

Amethyst | 1 comments most books (even movies) I seem to love are normally rated 3stars. I don't really go by ratings, everyone has different likes. you're better off getting a sample of a book and judging it from there not a star rating.

Wonder Show by Hannah Barnaby, has a 3.6 good reads and a 4.2 Walmart. idk if it's exactly young adult but it's really good

yes yes, idk for some reason i just never read samples? ive read a lot of books where the first 50 pages or more i hate but i end up really enjoying them so i base it off of ratings from amazon and goodreads on whether i get them. I'll definatley look into that book!

Hi Ash, in response to your request for YA less known books, I have a new YA fantasy book series. Book 1 is out and book 2 will be out May. It's "Chasing Time" (Adrielle Maddox) Check it out and let me know if you like it.

Hailey Sawyer | 33 comments I'd say that One Final Vinyl by Savy Leiser definitely fits the bill.

message 23: by B. (new)

B. Goodwin | 63 comments TalentTalent has 4 or 4.5 stars. Sandee Mason wants to find her own talent instead of living in the shadow of her big brother, who disappeared while serving in Afghanistan. It won some awards, and I'd love to see it find more readers.

Goose (sirgoosey) | 58 comments ♡The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones
♡#MurderTrending by Gretchen McNeil
♡Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo by Obert Skye (this one is definitely lower YA bordering middle grade. The writing style feels similar to Percy Jackson)
♡and then I see this one everywhere because it's pretty so idk if it's less known but no one actually talks about it so.... imma add it to the list anyway.

max (sad girl autumn version) (doitsushine92) | 31 comments Megan Derr's "Tales of the High Court" series!! it's not quite fantasy (no magic), royalty core, each installment follows a different couple. The dynamics are wonderful, there's rep for a lot of people (I could see myself in multiple characters over multiple different reasons) and there's even a polycule!
