Nistha | 333 comments Hi all, just checking in :) This weekend had lovely weather in London - but I, unfortunately, caught a pollen allergy. The week was crazy at work, not able to get a lot of reading done until end of the week and now I am reading a 500+ pager.

I had a question, my bad if it was answered before. The books we start in May and finish in June - will they count for May or June or none at all?

Louise | 3331 comments Good morning all, another sunny day. Made a start on The Daughter of Doctor Moreau yesterday and am enjoying it so far. I’m going to be posting an update either later today or tomorrow with our progress.

Just a reminder to all, please make sure the edition you have read is on your shelf. If you are reading an audio please note the default page count on the spreadsheet.

Kindly do not input any details in columns F-K on the spreadsheet, these columns are for the captains to use. If you have read for a specific task this can be noted in column L

I’ve had mine for over ten years and it is getting pretty slow…

mine is around that age as well, and it's so slow sometimes... but I tried to replace it, and the ones Amazon sent me all had dead pixels in the screen. After 2 or 3 attempts, I gave up, got a refund and kept using my old one.

Louise | 3331 comments QUICK UPDATE

We have just over a week left in the first month of May and are currently in 3rd place.

We only need 4 500-599page books and 6 600+ page books to meet our minimum requirement for May. If you have claimed one of these and don't think you will complete them in time, do let us know.

There is still time to participate in the BOM for Kings of the Wyld.

message 369: by Tati (new)

Tati | 1350 comments I have just posted my 500 pager :)

I can try to squeeze another 500 page chonk, if need be.

Hi Team,

I flew into Melbourne this morning, down here for client visits and a conference. Which means I will get some good reading done in my downtime :)

I've almost finished my 600 pager and have another 500 one lined up

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Melissa | 1895 comments All good here :)
I was feeling a bit under the weather today. Near the end of the day I had a second wind though and finished The Well of Ascension for a 600 + pager. What a great series!!

Love that series :)
I have been putting off The Alloy of Law (Mistborn, #4) by Brandon Sanderson because I don't want it to ruin the trilogy, but I've been told it is very good

Ok, oops - I thought those requirements were for the whole challenge, not every month. So, I’ll only get Kings of the Wyld done from my list by the end of the month. My other long ones were just my plans for the challenge over all.

Done, thanks for the reminder!

I am working hard on my 600+ book -- it's for a book club that meets the 2nd of June. I should make it by the 31st. It's a nonfiction about the history of gay marriage and it's a bit of a slog.
