Also, it's a good and quick read :-)
I'm unsure though if I want to see the film they've made...?

Yes! That connection would definitely work :-)
And definitely a lovely red cover hehe.

Putting you down for both of those!

Love that! 1989 is such a good album. I went to opening night of the Eras tour a few weeks ago (my sister lives in arizona so I went to visit her and also go to the concert lol) and it was soooo good.

Noooo there’s that many now?! I think there were only 3-4 last time I checked (whenever they were BOM last haha). I really thought it’d max out at 4-5

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 609 comments Hey everyone! I'm Insiyah, one of the co-captains. I'm living in London, though I'm currently in Cairo, which is why it took me so long to introduce myself. 😅

This is my second TT, and I've got a lot of giant books lined up. The Roots of Chaos series by Samantha Shannon, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Bleak House by Charles Dickens, and The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. I'm hoping to get through a my big books in May and June, before the chaos starts.

I'm hoping to get at least one of the 600+ books done per month but I think that may just be hoping for too much haha.

Foxy Grandma (foxygrandma) | 450 comments Hi Everyone,
I am Beth Fox or Foxy Grandma. I am 60 years old from NC. I have 16 grandchildren and 1.3 great grandchildren (one on the way!).
I work as a Court Mediator and Juvenile Mediator. I love my job and thankfully most days I have some down time in court between mediations I can either read or listen to a book for a short span at a time.
I read multiple genres including Urban Fantasy, Historical Fiction and Mystery.
I probably wont be able to check in every day, but will do my best to check in several times during the week.
Oh and this is my 3rd TT but it has been several years since my last one.
My shelf is Tower23

Hi Insiyah. I read Anna Karenina last year. I’m interested to hear what you think of it. I kept wanting to give Anna a good talking to and tell her to get her act together. Hahaha I keep meaning to read more Dickens but haven’t yet. Over the last few years I’ve made a point of reading some of the classics, hence Anna K.

Foxy Grandma (foxygrandma) | 450 comments I am in another reading challenge and already had 18 May books planned out. They are in my Tower23 shelf

As I get time in next week I will try to find places they fit in the mini challenges.

Oohhhh Anna K. One of the most disappointing tedious books I've ever read. Much rather watch it as a BBC drama, LOL.

And welcome to the challenge! :-)

Sally906 | 1765 comments OK - other than the two I mentioned for particular tasks, I am not going to give a long list of planned reads.

Is too difficult for me to track.

When I finish a book I will look at the spreadsheet and see what’s left and see if it fits any of the remaining slots, then will post my completion accordingly 😀👍

All books read go towards the page counts anyway don’t they?

Yes, they all count towards our normal book tower and page count as well :-)
Don't worry about listing them all, your way of handling things is just fine.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6399 comments I love how everyone is so enthusiastic even before the Challenge starts! Keep it up everyone and we might have a real shot at winning this thing. I've played 9 times and the closest I've got is 5th!
(I know it's not about winning or losing but how you play the game.. but it sure would be nice after 9 attempts, LOL)

Thanks for listing your planned reads so far!! You've all been busy already haha. I only know what one of my first books is going to be because I need to read it for my book club ;-)

Anything with colours, we'll fiddle into the tracking posts right away, the rest we will assign to tasks as you finish the books and post completion posts with the tasks they work for :-)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 609 comments Exactly why I want to read it - it fits about 6 different challenges I have ongoing right now, and I really just want to watch the Keira Knightly movie. I have a thing for Joe Wright dramas, and I need to see it (once I'm done with the book, of course).

So many people want to read from Sonia's shelf ;-)

Foxy - Gods of Jade and Shadow was also read by Judith, so I'll put it in that spot for the Mod Tower.

Roger - Raiden will go towards the Mod Tower for Sonia's spot.

Cilla - The Lightning Thief was also read by Silje, so putting the book in that spot for the Mod Tower.

I can plan but I'm a mood reader so I don't often stick to TBRs. So I'll also most likely update as I read.

LOL I am the same way — mostly from the library and also mostly a mood reader. I’m amazed by people who can plan out a whole month’s worth of reads! I almost never know what I’m going to feel like reading until I start it 🤣

Yes I am. A lot of these books will be fast reads for sure. I may end up doing more than my 6 books per month because I originally thought about rereading Robert Jordan's WoT series or the Outlander series along with some other long books.
