Just double checking, when is the deadline for the week? It's end of day tomorrow (Friday), right?"
deadline is midnight on Friday

no worries Jenny! Sometimes life is brutal! I would say, just look through what you have claimed and move things to banked if needed, and post anything you've read in the review thread. If you can't get to another book, that's ok. Do whatever you are able to!

This round will cover seven (7) days.
Start: May 13th at 12:00 AM (in your time zone)
End: May 19th at 11:59 PM (in your time zone)
Please check in on May 19th between 4:00 - 6:00 PM Eastern. This doesn’t mean you can stop reading for the round, it’s just the team checking in for bonus points.
Route Info: These will be generally easy tasks to complete for each leg of the race. This portion will have at least 15-20 tasks per leg. All repeatable.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>1. This can be completed by at least two people from a team (one person cannot complete this task). It is one of the most multicultural and ethnically diverse nations, due to over a century of mass immigration from around the world, and the most populous Roman Catholic-majority country.

Roadblocks begin at line #225 on the spreadsheet tab. There’s about 6 spell-outs available - please let me know if you need more.
Roadblocks: This will be a spell-out task. Each team will get the same word. It can be completed as many times as you can. If you start a spell-out and don't complete it, you will be penalized by 5 bonus points per uncompleted word.RIO DE JANEIRO: ✤ RIO DE JANEIRO ✤Rio de Janeiro (Portuguese: [ˈʁi.u d(ʒi) ʒɐˈne(j)ɾu]; literally 'River of January'), or simply Rio, is the capital of the state of the same name (Brazil's third most populous state), and the second most populous city in Brazil, after São Paulo.
Yield: Each team will have up to 3 yield opportunities (once per month). After the task has been revealed and read for, the team will then decide who to use their 'Yield' against. By yielding, you will be taking away 20 bonus points from that team.Independence was achieved in 1822 with the creation of the Empire of Brazil, a unitary state governed under a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary system. The ratification of the first constitution in 1824 led to the formation of a bicameral legislature, now called the National Congress. Slavery was abolished in 1888. The country became a presidential republic in 1889 following a military coup d'état. If you want to use your yield this week - please read for the following:Read a book that has the word 'COUP' found in text (pg/% & quote) and was published in the 80's

BOTM can also count for this task. This can be repeatable.
U-Turns: Just like the yield task, each team will have up to 3 U-turn opportunities (once per month). After the task has been revealed and read for, the team will then decide who to use their 'U-turn' against. By forcing another team into a U-turn, you will be taking away 10 bonus points from that team.Brazil has the largest share of global wealth in South America and it is one of the world's major breadbaskets, being the largest producer of coffee for the last 150 years. However, the country retains noticeable corruption, crime and social inequality. If you want to use your U-turn this week - please read for the following:Read a book that has coffee on the cover and has been tagged 'CRIME' at least 10 times

Also - i have my reviews l inked for most of my books on the spreadsheet. feel free to post for me if need be.

I posted my detour book for the Sign Language list.
I finished the reviews for the 3 books for the spell-it-out but I'm not going to be able to get on the computer to post those by tonight. I'm also not sure if Raquel has finished hers so the spell-it-out would be complete. If she has, can someone please post my 3 reviews for the ones Ashley requested in message 648? The review and buddy read links are in the banked tab.

Yeahhh, tonight just further cemented in my mind why I don't allow my 14 year old to hang out places unsupervised. :l Went to the fair with her, her boyfriend, and my 9 year old. 5 minutes after we arrive, my cousin's daughter whom is also 14 is suddenly being jumped by 3 girls. Literally - jumped. She's on the ground with 3 girls kicking / punching her. My first thought was to hide my son's face, because I knew he would be effected by this. Then I realized no one else was helping, so me and 2 other moms intervened. Them more so than I did. I always panic in these situations and worry about whether someone may have a knife or gun. THEN i had to call my mom to call my cousin to tell her to get to the fair asap. [ I haven't been in contact with said cousin in a few years. ]. I believe the girl is okay. I told her father what happened, offered a witness statement, and told them i'd press charges it were me, because as soon as the cops took cuffs off the main instigator, she was laughing and recreating the scene... not very remorseful.
Oy Vey man. Teens scare me.

I know they said they had a physical copy of it. but hm. Let me see if anything else I"ve read recently could fit it. or if there's a book close to 100 pages that i can finish asap.

Yeahhh, tonight just furth..."
Goodness! How awful! I am so sorry that happened to all of you!

I looked through the list again too, but I have NOTHING. And definitely nothing I could start and finish in less than 2 hours.

I know they said they had a physical copy of it. but ..."
I started one a fwe minutes after that. It's 112 pages, but set up as a collection of articles so easier to read. I'll be able to review it shortly, but may not be able to post the review will you be on in like 30-45 minutes?

no worries, if not ill do it from my phone! that way we at least have the extra if need be.

Honestly, I'm yawning like crazy and I am going to bed! At least we have the backup! We can always use Wolf's book next week if it was indeed finished.

I will be out of town tomorrow from 3 till late Sunday evening so I won’t be able to post until Monday.

This morning I woke up with a headache, took something and went back to bed, woke up with half my eyelid swollen! I look like I got punched.
It's going to be a long weekend. I'm going back to bed to start over.
