Alexander Hicks (alexander_h) | 11 comments Hello everyone,

I have no doubt many of you are in the process of writing, self-publishing, or working on making connections. In view of ever-present struggle to put up a word for any written work, it seems nowadays that reviews hold a significant pull over reading society. Therefore, I am interested in reading and reviewing for the same favor in return. I have not yet published my first work, I expect doing so soon and would like to create connections which would serve to the furtherance of our efforts both now and in future.

I am interested in reading-reviewing anything that is considered adult reading. I prefer literary fiction, first and foremost, then, psychology-philosophy-mystery-drama-suspense and else of the kind with the exception of romance. My own writing is similar so I hope avoiding any forceful reading on my part or on the part of anyone interested.

For proposals or any further information don't hesitate to comment or send me a message.

p.s. Please note that I will review everything I read honestly, and implore anyone to whom I may eventually pass over my own work to do the same.

Do you like poetry? I write all genres. But, wouldn't mind doing a review exchange with you. My poetry book is called Corridors of My Mind

Alexander Hicks (alexander_h) | 11 comments Hello Angel, send me a copy of your poetry book on mail below, I'll be glad to read and give an honest opinion.

Hilary, I'm not sure what to take of your work based on the Amazon summary, if you wish you can send me a copy and I'll give it a go for I can't make promises as to whether I'll read it before seeing what it actually is. :)

Hilary Mortz | 15 comments Hello Alexander. Nice to connect. You seem to have pretty highbrow tastes so perhaps my writing would be a bit of light relief/palate cleanser type read for you. Let's put it this way, if you like rock music you will probably enjoy my inventions and be amused. I have had quite a few non musical readers who just enjoyed the story without referring to the people and events that inspired me. However I am not a serious person and apart from an underlying sadness in some parts of the plot my prime intention is always to entertain. Let me know if you would like a MOBI file of either novel. Regards, Hilary M.

I've read the summary of your novel and I have to say it just isn't my reading. I wish you best of luck with its promotion and sales nonetheless.

Helen Vanderberg | 4 comments I'd like to see more of your novel. Could you send me a précis/summary?

message 16: by Alexander (new)

Alexander Hicks (alexander_h) | 11 comments Of course Helen. The novel deals with two people living together, a painter and a writer, tormenting one another in their artistic endeavors while striving each for their own goals. Themes of anxiety, indifference, work ethic, place in present society, misanthropy and life together, are present in depth and observed from converse points of view. It is written in paragraph-lack style, somewhat similar to Saramago, only with clearly perceptible dialogue subjects.

I am currently working on removing any typos. If interested further or about anything else send me a mail.
