My Kickstarter to fund production of The Labyrinth of Flame, 3rd and final novel in my Shattered Sigil trilogy, is in its final days (ends Tues Mar 17). The first two books in the series, The Whitefire Crossing and The Tainted City, were published by Night Shade Books, but after NSB's near-miss with bankruptcy, I decided to put out this final volume myself.

The series is adventure fantasy, featuring blood magic, spies, a reluctant but enduring friendship, and a climber's take on wilderness adventure. In addition to ebooks and trade paperbacks of the books as rewards, I'm offering query & manuscript critiques, plus climbing lessons and guided peak ascents.

If you live outside the US/Canada, this is a particularly good time to give the series a try. My publisher does not sell ebooks of the first 2 novels outside North America, but for this Kickstarter I've worked out a way I can offer ebooks of the entire series to everyone, regardless of where you live.

The KS has already passed its intial goal, so The Labyrinth of Flame is certain to be published (hooray!), but now we're getting really close to the point I could afford to hire a professional artist to do interior illustration. (I think it's a shame modern fantasy novels don't often have illustration, and I'd love to provide readers an edition of The Labyrinth of Flame that was truly special!)
