Lieke | 1723 comments 1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
No, none I really need to improve on my series reading.

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Yes, I read A Wicked Game by Kate Bateman. I enjoyed it so If I find any of the other books in the series I will read them. But I didn't enjoy it enough to buy them direct.

3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
No, as I said at question 1 I need to improve my series reading :)

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
No 5 star books but I had 4 books that I gave 4 stars (out of 6 books read). My favourites where Becoming Ted and The Notekeeper.

5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I enjoyed all of my books so I'm glad and I'm happy with the amount of books I read (6 books).

1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month? Yes, 1.
Caught up: Girl, Forgotten (Andrea Oliver, #2) by Karin Slaughter . I hope Slaughter continues with this series as Andy is coming in to her own.

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Yes, 2.
Calculated Risk (A Bree and Tanner Thriller #1) by Janie Crouch - While I enjoy this author's Linear Tactical series, this Harlequin Intrigue wasn't that engaging. I will not be continuing
'Twas The Night After Christmas by Sabrina Jeffries - this is actually more of a linking book between The Hellions of Halstead Hall and The Duke's Men

3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Yes, 11
Kiss Me (Fool's Gold, #17) by Susan Mallery And Then She Fell (Cynster, #19; The Cynster Sisters Duo, #1) by Stephanie Laurens To Davy Jones Below (Daisy Dalrymple, #9) by Carola Dunn Right Behind Her (Bree Taggert, #4) by Melinda Leigh A Lady's Guide to Gossip and Murder (Countess of Harleigh Mystery, #2) by Dianne Freeman Hard Edge (Cobra Elite, #4) by Pamela Clare Illusion Town by Jayne Castle The Countess Conspiracy (Brothers Sinister, #3) by Courtney Milan Hell Breaks Loose (Devil's Rock, #2) by Sophie Jordan Blood Dreams (Bishop/Special Crimes Unit #10; Blood #1) by Kay Hooper Hot Pursuit (Troubleshooters, #15) by Suzanne Brockmann

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
Yes, 1 5 star read
Kiss Me (Fool's Gold, #17) by Susan Mallery - Fool's Gold is an OK series but every once in a while, there is a real gem. This is one of them.

5. Overall summary of your reading month? I read 15 books. Most were great.

Well, if you had to add a new series, Chesapeake Bay Saga should be one of them! It’s one of my favorites.

Congrats on your series progress, Melissa, and for enjoying all the books you read.

Wow, Lauren! You rocked this month. And, I’m really surprised at that 5-star Fool’s Gold rating. Might it be that Mallory’s writing has strengthened later in the series?
