Unbroken
question
Any similar books?

I just finished Unbroken and loved it, also I would like to learn more about WWII in the Pacific. Does anyone know of any books similar to Unbroken?

If you click on the book title and go to the main page, there's a section on the righthand side titled 'Reader's Also Enjoyed'. Good luck finding your next read!
I recommend another aviator's story called A Dawn Like Thunder. You can't go wrong here. It centers on several members of torpedo 8 from Midway fame, and follows them from Midway through the Guadalcanal campaign. I've read it twice and would read it again.
Also, Pacific Payback is ok. It's not great, but it fills in the dive bombers role at Midway in detail.
And if you haven't read With The Old Breed, it's the classic memoir of war in the Pacific.

This suggestion doesn't directly answer the question (I'm just about 30 pages into Unbroken).
The Boys on The Boat, it's about a team's path to the same Olympics, the climate in America and the leadings up to the war.

I am currently reading "The Boys In The Boat", and that also is a good read so far!
