Strictly speaking, you’d say it was science fiction but there is definitely a crossover into horror, even if it is subtle. The concept is mind-bending - a severed life between your personal and work life with no memory of what either life is doing/has done.

It’s got a 70’s feel to the set and production but highly polished and superbly well acted. Don’t go looking for blood and guts or overt scares but it’s worth the slow burn and creepy unease.
I loved it and will be looking forward to the next season.

Mila G. (konerouskorpse) | 17 comments I think it's definitely horror though! Most science fiction tends to at least dabble in the genre- but Severance is a case of the reverse in my opinion? A horror story that is very much reflective of real-life politics with a nice retro futuristic touch! it's one of my favorite shows and I'm excited for the second season as well!

The dolly zoom for the elevator switch scenes are brilliant and such a small detail that immediately pulled me in I binged the rest of the show haha

Rafael da Silva (morfindel) | 635 comments It's definitely horror. Just imagine how bad would be to be that people. In your perspective your work would be your life, since you don't remember another life.

Yes, the elevator switch is incredible. It’s so subtle but very powerful. Brilliant l.
