I also really liked the cover of this one.
I haven't read anything by this author before. Have you?

I am planning on starting tomorrow or Tuesday.
How about you Shurti?

I am finding it very hard to follow. There are a lot of characters and they are connected and not in too many different ways.
Her writing style causes me to read and reread complete paragraphs.
How are you finding this one?

You aren't missing much on this one in my opinion.
Debating on whether to set it aside and come back to it, power through it or DNF it. (I have not DNFd a book this year yet, so that is always hard for me)

I don't like it very much. The writing is strange for me and it is hard to follow.
But it already published so I would like to get it off my list.

But it starts in the present and then goes back to reveals each characters back stories as the book progresses.
Now that I have figured this out, OH MY!
Such drama.
I am about 85% in and going to try to finish today.
Stick with it and see how it goes.

It started slow and confusing. Was good in the middle. And lackluster at the end.
3 stars.
On to the next.

Possibly me! 😂

Seven women stand in shock in a seedy hotel room; a man's severed head sits in the centre of the floor. Each of the women - the wife, the teenager, the ex, the journalist, the colleague, the friend, and the woman who raised him - has a very good reason to have done it, yet each swears she did not. In order to protect each other, they must figure out who is responsible, all while staying one step ahead of the police.
Against the ticking clock of a murder investigation, each woman's secret is brought to light as the connections between them converge to reveal a killer.
A dark and nuanced portrait of love, loyalty, and manipulation, Speak of the Devil explores the roles in which women are cast in the lives of terrible men...and the fallout when they refuse to stay silent for one moment longer.
