Yeah I need to get a few of my TBR first like the second book of Shadow and bones and the wicked King but my thing with these books are they have such long chapters

Yeah I'm not a fan of long chapters. At least those books have big font

I had such high hopes (thanks social media......) because of all of the 5 star reviews, and all of the dreamy swooning over Alex goddamn Volkov, but he was the opposite of what I want. Not only was it a dirty relationship (which I didn't expect) this has glorified stalking and controlling and possessive vibes. I swear, if men weren't hot, this behaviour would be jail territory. Restraining orders were even brought up but he's one of the 'I've got enough money to bribe the govt, you know you want me I'll just keep trying' type of men and I can't. It's bullshit, NOT LOVE. She's saying she don't wanna see ya, so LEAVE HER ALONE AND SHOW HER SOME RESPECT. If she wants you, she knows where to find you. God forbid she'd ever want to leave your manipulative ass behind. 'You're only mine, you belong to me, I'm not going anywhere until you see that, and I'll find you every day'. Enough with this shit.

Then there's the scene in the art gallery where she's worked her whole fellowship year and HE BUYS ALL OF HER PAINTINGS because why should she want to see whether anyone actually wants her work who isn't trying to buy their way back into her life......

And also let's not forget the 'touch her and you die' to literally everyone. If this doesn't scream insecurity and confidence problems, I don't know what does. If she loves you, she won't want anyone else. Just calm the fuck down

Oh I would have done but I've got to read a James Patterson book now and then I've got flatshare after that and then we'll be in may I have got a few buddy reads again so just can't quite fit it in at the minute

No worries, I ended up DNFing it and the series anyway halfway through. More of the same as Twisted Love
