This game is a bit more flexible than most. We have an overall theme of faeries with weekly mini-themes. You read books and try to tie them to the mini-themes. You are encouraged to be creative with your links in this challenge. Ask your team for help if you need it as they are usually willing to help find a link.
an example link in the past: For the Native American mini-theme is that they use bows & arrows to hunt so a book with these on the cover

Ooh that’s a good description never thought of that with arrow and bows. So like light can be sunlight?

Now you are getting the idea. I want you to think outside the box a little and have fun. Light & Dark can mean many things. You can equate them with good & evil. The light fae tries to protect humans while the dark fae are pure chaos. Light fae practice restraint & control while the dark fae are portrayed as amoral and corrupt.

I need a player on Team UnSeelie. You may use any books finished this month. The themes are listed in message one of your team thread as well as the dates of each theme. The book has to have been finished during the theme week that you use it for.

Up to you. The teams are close. Nothing a little bit of competitiveness can't conquer. Let me know if you want on a team.

Any book that you read this month will count. I let all the late starts backfill books that they read during the first theme.

Team Challenge
May 2023
Are you ready for a war? Yes, I said war. For this challenge, I will divide you up into two teams. Each team will read books to fit a weekly Fairies theme and earn points for their team. The team with the most points at the end of the month wins this Fairies war. Sign up here with your estimated # books per week and let's see who wins this war!
Challenge rules:
*No graphic novels, poetry or cookbooks allowed.
*Follow your own time zone. If you finish the book between the theme dates in your time zone, it counts.
*You must be able to justify how your book fits the theme. Example: If the theme is cats, then your book can have a cat on the cover, a cat in the book, can be all about cats, etc. If you can justify it, then it will work. Let's keep this easy and you may be creative with your links to the themes.
Standard Rules Apply
Themes
May 1-7 Light
May 8-14 Dark
May 15-21 Magic
May 22-31 Fantasy
*Theme Start & End times are based on your time zone. So each theme will end at midnight in the time zone that you live in.*
