Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon discussion

We've had a few hours to get into the spirit of the Readathon. So, now we're all warmed up (in theory) and just about ready for our second scheduled reading sprint. Get your beverage and snacks and book ready and we'll dive in at the top of Hour 4.

Ready! Set! Go!

I'm making myself sit outside on the porch, away from the computer for a whole hour for this one, cause otherwise I am constantly puttering on our social media sites. My book will be Homegoing, by Yaa Gyasi, one of my library books that I'd love to turn in on Monday. I'm starting on page 66.

I’m continuing with , some more mate, and trail mix. :) On page 184!

I'm about to make myself get up and go for that short walk before it gets too hot! Won't walk long but nice to move around, then will come back for some physical reading.

I'm in! listening to Changing Planes currently at 9%

I took Hour 2 and half of Hour 3 off as I have chores to do. I'm back reading again for another 20 minutes or so. Still reading Elena Ferrante's Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay.

I'm continuing with Weyward this hour. Had planned to swap, but I am enjoying it so much

Oh! I loved the book Homegoing. I rated it 5 stars.

I am continuing Slush. It is horror and very graphic short stories. Keeping my interest for sure.

80 pages this hour. I finished The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes and started The Sandman: The Doll's House.

at 15% now

Made it to page 294! Feeling sleepy, pondering a nap!

Still enjoying Toscanini: Musician of Conscience. I am on page 62. It's a rather dense read with lots of names and places. Conductor/Cellist Toscanini is only in his 20s at this point. What a fascinating person. Actually a genius with a photographic memory.

I was able to read a bit more for this Sprint than the first one. I was able to read a total of 53 minutes & finished 49 pages in
