Hihi there we go! I have a few BRs planned this month, but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to read, since I'm finishing my master thesis :/ If any of you have any questions about any of the included prompts, let me know!

Kay-Mika | 1812 comments I have two questions: Do we have to fulfill only the prompts of 'our' mod( fr example: we only have to fulfill Danique's prompts) or can it be any mod?
And, is there an easier way of finding a book in the "Read"-list?

You can choose for which task you read. It doesn't need to be a task about 'your mod'. I don't think there's any easier way to choose a book from the 'Read - list'. You just browse, I think.

I think you can maybe go to the read list of a mod you want, and then search for the book you want to read/have read. That way you can see if it shows up! And if it doesn’t show up for (for example) Saar, it might be on my list, so definitely check all of us if you’re unsure! You can also shoot me a message and ask whether I’ve read the book you want to read/have read, then I’ll check!

No problem, welcome! It's going to be a fun month :)

message 15: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments I hope so!
Is anyone reading anything exciting or really good right now?

message 16: by Kay-Mika (new)

Kay-Mika | 1812 comments I started "Stalking Jack the Ripper" today and also read "Boyfriend Material". So far not disappointed

message 17: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Ooh, I'll have to be on the lookout for your thoughts on Stalking Jack the Ripper. I've been debating on moving it higher up my priority TBR.

I loved the Stalking Jack the Ripper series!! Hope you’ll enjoy it too :)

I’ve finally picked up Scythe, and I’m loving it so much! Has anyone else read that series?

message 19: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments I loved the first 2 scythe books. The third one not as much but still good.

Oh damn okay! Was there anything specific (without spoiling anything ;)) that you didn’t like, or just a general vibe?

message 21: by #28 (new)

#28 | 12 comments Hi! I was wondering whether the crescent series is worth it?

message 22: by Danique (new)

Danique van Dijk (daniquevdijk_) | 7803 comments Mod
I liked book 1! Haven’t been able to get through book 2, but that might just be me 🥴 There’s a lot of descriptions and not a lot happening, and I don’t really like that tbh. Many people love it though, and it might be different if you read 2 immediately after the first book!

message 23: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Danique wrote: "Oh damn okay! Was there anything specific (without spoiling anything ;)) that you didn’t like, or just a general vibe?"

More general vibe. Lots of POV & time switches and I didn't always know who right off and some parts that are not well put together for a timeline. So just some delivery issues that take awhile to sort out. Again, it was still good but the first 2 books were 5 starts for me and the third was between a 3.5-4 star. I actually still own the series and plan to try again one day. So it is still worth reading for sure.

message 24: by Kay-Mika (new)

Kay-Mika | 1812 comments #28 wrote: "Hi! I was wondering whether the crescent series is worth it?"

I liked it.
But I think it depends.
If you liked Throne of Glass and/ or ACOTAR, then don't read it. A lot of people who read and liked these series didn't like Crescent City.
If you didn't like the other two series, go for it.

Ahh yeah I get that! I finished the first one, really loved it :) Hopefully I’ll like the others too!

How is everyone’s reading doing? We’re behind at the moment, but I’m confident we can catch up :)

Kay-Mika | 1812 comments Jamie wrote: "Ooh, I'll have to be on the lookout for your thoughts on Stalking Jack the Ripper. I've been debating on moving it higher up my priority TBR."

I'm nearly at 50% and so far the book could have used a lot more research on social norms and society and a lot less clichés ( she isn't like other girls, but also likes "feminine things", is annoyed by the love interest but actually isn't, oh and she looks down pittys other girls).
But once it leaves all that behind, it's good.

Adding Berit Talks Books to your team ☺

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) I'm here! I need to ask Sarah if I can add all my books from this month or going forward?

message 32: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments You should be fine to add books for this month. It has always been done in past challenges and when people move from solo the take their book points with them.

message 33: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Also welcome to the team!

Saar The Book owl | 5337 comments Mod
Your points/books from Solo will be added to the team, Berit. No worries ;)

Looks like Berit didn't post in solo, so I believe she just posts direct to the review thread for any books read this month, right?

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Yes, I talked to Sarah. I'll get everything posted by tomorrow. Happy Mother's Day to anyone celebrating!

Kay-Mika | 1812 comments Guys, I need your help.
I'm currently reading The Red Pyramid (The Kane Chronicles, #1) by Rick Riordan the German version is tagged as : Young Adult, middle grade , children? Which should I choose? Personally I would go with YA, because the main characters are teenagers.
