Welcome to this month's Hidden Gems challenge!

Hidden Gems is a fantastic way to plow through those mountains of books claiming space in your house or e-reader. I have found that this challenge produces some fun group interaction as well, because someone else chooses which book you’ll read next.

If you sign up, you'll be matched up with a Hidden Gems partner. You will choose a book from the list your partner designates which you have already read and cannot believe your partner hasn’t read yet. Your partner will do the same for you with the list you designate. The point is to find that “Hidden Gem” that you think they’ll love… because you adored it when you read it!

Let us know which books you choose for each other. When you finish reading your gem, let us know what you thought about it. Perhaps your Hidden Gem might find its way to someone else’s wish list!

Match-ups will be created on the 10th of the month. Please choose books for each other by the 13th.

Sign up by telling us which list you’d like your partner to choose from.

Happy reading, friends!

Missy, you had some great options on your HG shelf, and I ended up having to play 'cub-scout-you're-out' to narrow down my last choice. 😉
My 3 choices for you to choose from are: Freedom's Song: A Novel Freedom's Song A Novel by Kim Vogel Sawyer , The Printed Letter Bookshop The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay , and The Cairo Curse The Cairo Curse (A Freddie and Grace Mystery #2) by Pepper D. Basham .
I look forward to seeing what you've selected for me. 🙂

Brittany | 547 comments Hi Jenn, Thank you for the choices! I'm not sure what I will choose yet. You have so many wonderful books on your list which were some of my favorites, so it was hard to narrow it down. But, I tried to get a variety of genres:
Courting Morrow Little by Laura Frantz The Breakup Project (Original Six Hockey #1) by Carolyn Miller Dangerous Illusions (Code of Honor, #1) by Irene Hannon The Cumberland Bride (Daughters of the Mayflower, #5) by Shannon McNear

Charlene | 596 comments Hey Andrea,

Thank you I will be reading Finding Lady Enderly by Joanna Davidson Politano or More Than We Remember by Christina Suzann Nelson or maybe both :)

For you I pick The Heart's Charge (Hanger's Horsemen, #2) by Karen Witemeyer , Miles from Where We Started by Cynthia Ruchti , Just Look Up (Harbor Pointe, #1) by Courtney Walsh or A Heart Most Certain (Teaville Moral Society, #1) by Melissa Jagears

Hope you enjoy the one you pick. Happy reading :)

Thanks, Charlene! Good choosing, friend. I've heard great things about all of those books.

I think I'll start with the Ruchti, as I've been craving a road trip lately. Don't have time for a real one right now, so a book one will have to do. Thanks!
Miles from Where We Started by Cynthia Ruchti

message 25: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 591 comments Thanks, Brittany! I'm hoping to read Dangerous Illusions (Code of Honor, #1) by Irene Hannon and probably another one, as well.

message 46: by Hanna (new)

Hanna | 95 comments Karen, I finally finished The Woman in White! Great recommendation; I really enjoyed it, though it took me quite a long time to read it (not the fault of the book other than its length, but due to my having little time to read).
