Dan - nice list! Coincidentally I just read Vampire Weekend by Mike Chen. I enjoyed it, what did you think?
On one of my library trips and perusing the new books shelf it caught my eye, I took it home and a week later snagged an audio loan to gallop through it faster. I grabbed Mike Chen's other book Here and Now and Then to start soon.

Every time I see that book, I immediately think of the band of the same name, lol.

Ann, the alternative take on vampirism was interesting, and - even though I don’t know much about it- the punk rock revue was fun. Having read the book a couple months ago revolving around slasher movies, I figure I’ve put a dent in pop culture. Maybe the pervasiveness of social media next?

Dan - How did you like the Rosenfelt book? I tried the first one from that new series and didn't really like it.

Dan, agreed, the punk rock review and the entire musical angle was a big draw in Vampire Weekend... Sure, why not go for social media next! ( better for me than the slasher movies) 😱😃

Susie, I was underwhelmed by the K-team. A lukewarm spinoff of the Andy Carpenter series.

Interesting selection, Dan.... What did you think of Dark Angel?

Carol, to say that there are some strong characters is a vast understatement. Hard to differentiate the females from the males.
