2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

So, Terry Pratchett passed away today. There goes one of the best. I figured I'd let y'all feel as down as me today.

That is so sad. A great author who will be sorely missed.

I saw this at work this afternoon and had to try so hard not to cry. I've never had a celebrity death hit me this hard before.

I was lucky enough to meet him about ten years ago and he was just the most fantastic person. He had so many funny stories I could've listened to him for days. It was right after The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents so we discussed rats and he signed my copy 'To Caitlin, with cheese'.

I'm glad he's not suffering any more. Apparently the disease had progressed to affecting his ability to physically read and write. It must have been torturous for him.

Oh no, I'm so sad to hear that. I also got to meet him once, something I'll never forget.
