John Warner (jwarner6comcastnet) | 97 comments I could make a go with any of these tags this month, but steampunk would be more difficult. I have read several of them but this tag includes few "want to read" designations.

message 3: by Meli (new)

Meli (melihooker) | 4165 comments I think I could easily find something for immigration or USA, but steampunk would be very difficult if I stick to my physical tbr.

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12570 comments Meli, you might be surprised, as I was, how many have this tag. Personally, I think USA too broad a category and you could read just about anything. At least this month I have something no matter what wins.

I checked the first several pages and I had The Night Circus on my tbr, but nothing else. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Frankenstein were on there, but I've read those. A couple others I want to read, but do not have on my physical tbr.

I love a broad tag! USA! USA! USA!

Theresa | 15525 comments For once, I can easily find options, multiple options, on my TBR for each one.

Isn't it interesting that this is the 3rd month this year where one of the choices is a country?

message 7: by Booknblues (new)

Booknblues | 12064 comments I have something on my TBR for each of these and would be happy with any.

Immigration is one of the themes, I return to frequently as I feel it is so important in the world today.

USA requires no stretch and I probably read several each month.
Steampunk is quirky and fun. I haven't read many of these but I do have one that has been on my TBR forever(although I'm not sure it is properly labeled.)

I noticed that too, Theresa - - so weird!

Amy | 12921 comments Voted. It did occurred to me, that if immigration wins, that perhaps the group that wants to read. The Many Daughters of Afong Moy together as a buddy read, that June would be an option.

Yes, it is. I’ll bet it’s a real relief for those discouraged by all the narrow options last month.

I could find something for all three, but one tag would fit more of the new books I want to get to.

I think most of Afong Moy’s daughters were born in the US (at least one lived in Canada), so it fits USA too.

message 12: by Theresa (new)

Theresa | 15525 comments I voted - went with the one I most feel like reading right now.

message 13: by LibraryCin (last edited May 15, 2023 07:32PM) (new)

LibraryCin | 11690 comments Ohhhh, as much as I usually hope for the most narrow... I am really hoping it's NOT steampunk!

USA is far too broad for my liking, so I'm really hoping immigration for the win!

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Ahhhh! I need to finish my book for this month!!

message 15: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 3143 comments I love immigration AND steampunk! Excited by both.

USA is very easy as well.

message 16: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 3296 comments I've voted - I went for the one with the most books that I want to read right now.

message 17: by Pam (new)

Pam | 498 comments I went with immigration, but it was more process of elimination. I put too much effort into getting books that *can’t* be tagged USA onto my tbr to choose that one! And it turns out I have a ton of steampunk books on my list but I don’t feel the need to prioritize those I guess.

@Pam - you have expressed here what many of us have done. I certainly have diversified my TBR quite deliberately.

Barbara M (barbara-m) | 2594 comments I have something for each of the tags. I'm with Meli, sometimes I just love a broad tag!

anarresa | 433 comments I just read a sneaky steampunk and am in the mood. It was fate, I had to vote big for it :)
