Radio shows generally are not books even if there are books with the same characters. For instance the October 30, 1938 broadcast of The War of the Worlds, Mercury Theatre Orson Welles production, is radio play based on H. G. Wells novel The War of the Worlds (1898) not a reading of the novel.

Most radio drama episodes I listened to were 30 minutes to 1 hour long including commercials, though a few stories took more than one episode. Even the multi episode stories could be termed inspired by book rather than being book.

Of course there were serialized radio dramas, aka soap operas, but I think all the ones you are asking about are radio dramas.
