Welcome to the 6th round of Wheel of TBR! I've been having a blast reading with you guys this year and it's hard to believe we're already half through the year- wow! I'm excited for this month's prompts but before I share those with you I thought I'd add a layer of fun by asking anyone who loses a round to share which books they chose to unhaul or if you won which you decided to treat yourself to! This isn't required I just thought it might be a fun addition to the game. You can share your haul/unhaul in the discussion post of the relevant round- so if you're sharing for our last round you can share it in the May thread.

Now for June's prompts:

Spin #1

Spin #2

★ This can mean an author who only has one book out but when I came up with this prompt I was thinking more along the lines of reading an established author's debut. However, either one will be accepted.

Spin #3

★ I've used this prompt a few times over the years because I think it's so versatile and fun. Food themes are becoming more popular in fiction whether its a cozy fantasy with a coffee/tea shop or a witchy graphic novel featuring a bakery- there are so many options. As long as food or food-related things play an integral part in the story it counts.

Spin #4

★ An honorific is a title given to a person that denotes respect so examples would be Mr., Mrs., Ms., Your Majesty, Your Highness, Coach, Professor, Doctor, Lady, Sir, Lord, Captain, Reverend, Etc. I feel like many of these are commonly used in book titles so I'm betting you have at least a couple books on your tbr that will fit this prompt!

Spin #5 (additional spin: Green)

★ Speaking of versatile this one should be easy to find a book for- island/beach settings, boats, sailors, marshes, mermaids/selkies/other water animals and creatures, lake house, submarines, water sports including swimming or surfing etc.

I hope you have fun sifting through your shelves to pick books for all these prompts and even more fun reading them. As always don't forget to share your TBR in this discussion post and last months results in the May post. I look forward to seeing what you all are and have been reading! When choosing your books this month keep in mind that Amanda is hosting a Summer Reading Frenzy challenge that you can participate in right alongside everything else- you just need to prioritize summer-themed books. Find more info on that under the general challenges tab!

I've been feeling the slump, too. Here's to hoping we both find our way back! 🤞🏻

fungivibes Definitely had a better reading month but only got to a couple of my challenge books. I tried Cleopatra & Frankenstein but had to DNF it around 25% as it just wasn't for me. I finished and loved You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty. Great character work, relationships, and just he right amount of romance cheesiness. Plus I listened to it as an audiobook and the narrator was amazing. Currently finishing up The King of Infinite Spaces and really enjoying it so far, it'll really have to screw up this last quater to be disappointing.
