Awesome. So it looks like we are pretty set to spell the word out at least once! Looking forward to it!

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) One thing we did on our team last Wheel-a-thon that I found helpful was to post the book and then everything about it that could meet the requirements so the captain could move things around as needed.

We did the same thing. More flexible that way.

It looks purple enough to me, Stacie.

The team will get an additional 30 bonus points if at least one person in the group reads a book of that colour (the book cover must be about 50% of that colour)"

That's what i thought.. but i've been really slow lately so i figured i should double check >_<

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments This is my first Wheel so I have a few questions. We only get the extra 30 points for the book color once, correct? Do we have to fully spell the color before we move onto the next spell? Or can we have 1 full fuschia, and then 1 F, but 4 Is that count for extra points? Does that make sense--its still early for me!?

message 63: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Stacey,

Yes, we only get the 30 points once per round. As for the spells, we need to complete one and then we can have the one F and the four I's if that's how it works out for points as well.

That's why it's really helpful when you post to post all the items from your book that match. This way I can move things around if I need to.

message 64: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Stacey had a question about this so here's the answer from the Questions thread:

You need to complete each read through before getting any points for the next one.

I'm just poking to say Hi! whilst my test runs on the breakdown.

There is a helpful color extract tool - I posted the link on the captains group - on the questions thread, I think

OK; test has finish... need to get back

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I'm ready too Skandia! I'm looking at my TBRs and wondering how I'm going to manage all these team challenges I'm in (I think it's 4 now) and yet I'm stupid excited and ready to make it all fit! It's like a puzzle!

message 73: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments I'm all ready to go as well! Got my books all piled up. Will we continue to have a little warning about our color for the next week, or was this a one time starting bonus?

I think we're in a couple of the same ones :)

Stacey, this is a first (getting the word in advance) so I'm not sure about the future rounds.

message 75: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I dropped out of the running for DQ's for A Pretty Mess so we have a better shot at Carmen getting the points for it.

I should also have at least 2 letters done by the time things start. The hard part is waiting to finish my books!

Yes I'm going to read that book and hopefully get to do the DQ's too. I'm not sure if we can use it for this week's word but I'm hoping we can. I'm working slow on Insatiable so we can use it for I.

message 77: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I think we could use the book for this week's word but unless you are doing DQ's before week 2, I'm not so sure.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Stacie D-Struction wrote: "I think we could use the book for this week's word but unless you are doing DQ's before week 2, I'm not so sure."

That's what I have to see. There's more people than DQs so the Mods are going to do the randomizer. I guess we'll see.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments If the book list of covers are up for grabs, I'd like to start Fly Away (Firefly Lane, #2) by Kristin Hannah for the color. I have the book and can start it, if anyone doesn't mind?

message 80: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Go for it Carmen.

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I finished Up All Night: A Short Story Collection which means we finished our first spell!

message 91: by Stacey (last edited Mar 22, 2015 05:50PM) (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments Yeah on our first spell!

I finished Mate Claimed (Shifters Unbound, #4) by Jennifer Ashley this afternoon.

I think we can use it for book cover color as well as I (character Iona), A (Author Ashley) or S (series name Shifters Unbound).

message 92: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) 125 points in our first day!

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Question? I just wanted to make sure

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Sorry didn't get the question up. The books we post are supposed to be mark from March 22-28th, right? It's a weekly word?

It is. We'll get a new word every Sunday though the mods said they will try to get it out the day before if they can.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Ok just making sure I get the books in the right days. Oh I was looking on the spreadsheet to see what letters we have and you might want to change the dates on some of the letters they have the 21st.

I'm going to finish up Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1) by Alice Clayton so we can use it for A or C; author's name, Alice Clayton or S=character; Simon

message 98: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Oh, the 21st is okay. The mods said as long as it was completed after the start of the challenge, they would accept them. So the challenge started 8 pm my time zone Saturday night which was noon in Australia.
