I know that the policy is that if an author changes their name, we keep the old name as the first author on all book released originally under the older name. In this case, the author used to write as D. Edward and now writes under David Edward. Do we still need to add "D. Edward" as the first author for books originally published under that name? I think we do, but I wanted to make sure and hear what others think. Note that the author is a Goodreads Author.
David Edward is fine, as those searching for D. Edward will still be able to find him. I despise redundancy, so I'd delete the shorter name if it appears.
If would assume so, but if you search for D. Edward you will not be able to find David Edward for at least five pages of search results. I didn't check more.
