- Finish ATY ---> on track
- Read my physical TBR ---> I would be on track if I didn’t keep buying new books!
- Continue neglected series ---> Uhm, not so much... I'm reading new to me series
- Read local authors (Filipino) ---> So far I've read two

I’m at 52% for AtY, 68% for PS, and diversity index is currently 93%. I’m ahead of schedule for my total number as well.

I wanted to read 15 books from series. I was reading 12 series and that was way too many. I've read 9/15 and I've finished 5 series.
I wanted to read 7 Nobel laureates. I've read 3 and am currently reading a 4th.
I wanted to reduce my TBR list by randomizing the list and reading the first book that comes up. I've read 3 and am currently reading a 4th.
The Nobel books and the random books are sometimes hard to find a prompt for, which is why I set my ATY goal lower that my total books.

I'm doing ATY in order by month and I just need to finish one more book to be on track at the end of June. I've done 36/50 of the Popsugar challenge - which means I'm getting to the point where I need to specifically pick up books to fit certain prompts. I'm loosely doing the Buzzwordathon and am halfway through that. I keep track of how many of the Bookriot Read Harder prompts I check off but I never complete that one.
I have two overall goals: to read at least 80 books (I've got 44 so far) and to diminish the number of books on my tbr that have been there since before 2018. Of the 64 books that applies to, I've read 4, dnf'd 6, and kicked 1 off my tbr. I have a feeling I'm going to end up kicking a lot of them off.

ATY (2/3 done right now)
a science fiction/fantasy TBR cleanup challenge ( 16 out of 20 currently)
Read Around the Country challenge (each book set in a different region of USA, one per month)
Read Round the World challenge (same as above but with a different region of the world each month)
A friend's challenge to read one book each month with different prompts
Plus I'm in two book clubs (one science fiction/fantasy, which I run, and a general book club)
I can double or triple count books across challenges if I can make that work.
I started needing more structure in choosing what to read in 2020. I think I've overdone it at this point and want to ease off a bit next year, but part of me also really likes the structure.

- Read at least 24 books set in different countries around the world
- Pick an author and read at least 5 of their books
- Select 16 books I really want to read and commit to finishing them by year-end (these usually include several tomes, classics, and books I've wanted to read for a while but never got around to)
- At least 20 books from the Boxall 1001
- At least 20 books from past Booker Prize Nominees
I also set a specific number of books to read, which changes each year, but is something I think I can reach without feeling stressed about it.
I also select a few challenges, which can change each year - whatever appeals to me at the time.
So far, I am on track for 2023.

now i think i can get back on track with my aty and popsugar

Otherwise, I try to always have a nonfiction book going, a 1001 book going and the last 2 years I've added always have a banned book going. I allow as much overlap every which was as possible!
*Side note, I was just reading an article in The Atlantic about readers and it said that people that read more than 20 books per year are super duper avid intense readers (some adjectives may have been supplimented by me!).

Here are some of my Stats:
🔹Goodreads Challenge: 141/250
- In previous years, I've had goals to keep my page avg. above a certain number, but I just gave up on that this year.
🔹ATY Enhanched: 44/75
- I'm doing one book for each Spice Girl Personality for example.
🔹ATY Rejects: 15/25
🔹Popsugar: 33/50
🔹Goodreads Choice: 16/30
- From any year, any category, just need to be new-to-me.
🔹TBR: 6/10
- So a goal of reading 10 books I actually have physical copies of doesn't seem that ambitious, but I keep getting distracted by shiny new (library) books, and most of the 6 books I have read were bought this year, so my pile is growing, not going down!!!
My only other goal is to read at least 70% of the books I put on my plan for this year, and I'm at 39%

I set the goal of 100 books for the year - although I was going to try to go over that because I keep track of ALL books I read - even the children's books (I work with kids a lot). However, I have 83 for the year, so I think I'll be fine!
I also made it a goal to read one Stephen King book a month, and I am on track with that one.
I set a challenge of #20BooksByIndigenousWomen for the year. I have read 8 so far, but I have many more planned, so I am not worried about reaching that goal.
I made it a goal to read at least 70% women authors - right now I am at 77%.
I am trying to diversify my reading by reading authors from different races and geographical locations. I have books from 13 different countries so far (including US and UK, so a little cheating!).
I also want to read more Women in Translation, but so far this year I only have 6 books, so I would like to get a few more in.
I have recently completed a reread of a favorite series that was absolute "comfort reading." It's been a tough year, and I needed something familiar and beloved. That took up a good chunk of this month. I hadn't counted on it, but it has helped me get through a tough period.

I plan to compete 2 reading challenges of 52 books each (the books will overlap of course, it's fun to choose what prompt to use and to use the prompts to clear my physical bookshelves) and also see how many books i can overlap on the mini and/or seasonal challenges.
I always have 5-6 books going on at once: fiction of my choice, fiction for 2 books clubs, nonfiction, a classic, and a collection (short stories or essays) and will continue this to make sure i have a variety of genres/authors/etc
I am on track to exceed 60 books but I often slow down in August/September when the new school year starts.
